The Bont to the Saints... you heard it here first
St Kilda list management met with Tom Petroro and placed a contract offer of 9 years @ $800k/year plus bonuses for Marcus Bontempelli during the week. The Bont is said to be seriously considering the offer. All parties will deny it.

So the bont is seriously considering an offer to leave his club and be underpaid on what his market value would be?

Might explain the Bruce trade? No harm in dreaming.
*Allegedly.

Re: The Bont to the Saints... you heard it here first
I reckon we can do a direct swap with Jack Newnes and Clayton Oliver.
You heard it here first.
We need someone that wins the ball and they need another list clogging plodder.
Its a win/win.

Anyone who read this and thought there is any truth to it and then responded to it on that basis. Shame there is so many blatant made up stories on here with no real proof.kosifantutti wrote: ↑Thu 05 Sep 2019 10:47amWho fell for it?DJ Higgins wrote: ↑Thu 05 Sep 2019 10:13am Hook, line and sinker again. A lot of people don't know this, but BS actually stands for Bulldogs. (Like American states, PA, FA etc. ) You heard it hear first.

Re: The Bont to the Saints... you heard it here first
it's actually a direct trade for billings. so we trade a number 3 draft pick for a number 4. typical st kilda.

Re: The Bont to the Saints... you heard it here first
Sorry but this thread is pointless.
If it's meant to be some sort of sarcastic jab at the club being linked to a number of players, who in the minds of some here we shouldn't be going for, have no hope of getting, or might be letting go from our club in the upcoming trade period, it's a dismal failure.
It's not funny nor is it sarcastic nor is it of any use at all.
The club is in a lot of trouble and needs to do something. The current list is not working.
It isn't good enough to get us playing finals footy.
We can't keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.
There is a word for it.
And the word is.......Insanity.
Yeah I'll lighten up. When we win our next premiership.

You've been eating mushrooms you picked yourself, haven't you? Trouble is you haven't the skill/experience to discern the ones you shouldn't pick.

Re: The Bont to the Saints... you heard it here first
I'd hope we aren't offering 9 years, that length could also entice complacency. Not many contracts for that long. perhaps bonuses get him to market value and that is his incentive to sign for only 800k??groupie1 wrote: ↑Thu 05 Sep 2019 9:13pmIts the long term nature of the deal, broamusingname wrote: ↑Thu 05 Sep 2019 9:20amSo the bont is seriously considering an offer to leave his club and be underpaid on what his market value would be?
