I was saddened to hear about the passing of diehard Saints supporter Bill Cobb. He was a much loved member of the cheer squad for over 50 years. Back in the Moorabbin days, Big Bill had a booming voice and could heard cheering on the lads from the other side of the ground.

He made it almost 70 I believe. Fair innings all things considered.
An absolute icon of our club and I hope many senior people at our club help send him off.

I saw him at the MCG back in 2018. He'd just returned to Melbourne from Queensland. I Hardly knew him without his beard, and he'd also become quite sick, he was in a mobility scooter. I'd have walked past if he hadn't shouted out "hey Jiggster! How'ya goin?" (I wasn't even aware that he knew who I was) We had a nice chat, and the Saints won for us both that day!!! 
I was saddened though, to see that he had become so sick.
