Re: 2019 Draft Picks
Very slim pickings I am afraid. No second or third rounders, but two fourths.
ST KILDA
Draft picks (after Round 19): 6, 55, 71, 78
Actual picks will depend were we finish on the ladder.
Our first pick of 5/6 I think will almost certainly be traded.
Losing Steven and some fringe players may generate some picks back. As may our swap of pick 5 to get Hill.

Re: 2019 Draft Picks
If we are giving up pick 5 for Hill I would want another pick/player coming back as well
He ain't worth that much even contracted

Yes I believe that will happen, either as a direct deal or as part of a 3 way with the Cats.

Re: 2019 Draft Picks
5 for Hill plus $900k a year is too much I suggest. Use 5 to get a KPP. Whatever we get for the ever depreciating J. Steven for Hill plus his enormous pay.

Re: 2019 Draft Picks
The fact we have no 2nd or 3rd round draft selection is a disgrace.
We should look at trading out those players with value who we don't want going forward in exchange for 2nd & 3rd round draft picks.
And I'm totally against trading pick 5 for Hill or Ben King, I'd rather draft the best available mid.
Players with currency that I'd be happy to trade include Seb Ross, Carslile, Jack Steven, Jack Newnes, Sinclair, Lonie, Webster and even Blake Acres. You'd like to think that lot would get us some decent 2nd or 3rd round draft picks.
We must have about 10 players to delist, sadly headed by McCartin & Roberton and then Longer, Pierce and Armitage. And lets get serious and get rid of those blokes we all know will never make it like Rice & White and then some top-ups like Rowe. And I'm sure there's a few more like Young & Kent that are unlikely to 'make it'.
After the Spring cleaning is done, we need to get in some kids with potential, that's why I'd like to have the 2nd & 3rd round draft picks.
