Votes v Freo
Starting the thread as usual. Have been watching local Junior match involving my nephew. Just pulled over by the side of the road on the way home, to hear the comeback.
Well done boys. Will watch the replay and put my votes in tonight.

Re: Votes v Freo
5 Savage - becoming an automatic pick IMO
4 Wilkie - best pick up of the year
3 Steven - gun, just willed those goals
2 Hannas - his first half reminds you of his capabilities
1. Clark - What a last month of footy

luke 'dead eye' dunstan unlucky - if he'd received his fair free kicks he'd have another five odd kicks to his tally.

Re: Votes v Freo
5. Jack Steven. As good as Lonie was a few weeks ago, this was the best game this season by a small forward,
4. Shane Savage. Has had a good season, but today was his best.
3. Hunter Clark. I remember in his early days Lenny Hayes got caught a lot, before he picked up the pace of the game . This young lad also struggled a little with the speed last year, but he has continued to take the game on, and now is reaping the benefits. He is going to be a beauty.
2. Dan Hannebery . Fantastic early. Two excellent goals . Tired a bit, but it was great to see him use the ball so well.
1. Rowan Marshall. So many blokes played well , but I give the nod to the big fella. Clearly hampered, and if he had stayed off we were stuffed , but battled manfully.

Re: Votes v Freo
Gee, not a lot of love for Sebby. He's been terrific last few weeks and his decision making has been excellent. Getting better and answering the challenges as the stand in captain. Still can improve though...
Needs to get aggressive with those tackles and don't just do the waltz and carress your opponent Sebby. Try hurting them a touch and rubbing their head in the Marvel turf.
Really liked Jack Newnes game today. Also good game from Ben Long. Very damaging every time he got the footy. JB was prolific, but a few clangers and a few fumbles probably cost him some votes
Special mentions to our tough nuts in Dunny, Marshall, and my name sake in Josh Battle. They willed us over the line in the last. Well done boys

Billings wasn't too shabby either. Truth is, we had committed players all over the park, could've had a point each. Hell, even Carlisle made a bit of an effort for one quarter!Josh Battle wrote: ↑Mon 12 Aug 2019 2:02am Gee, not a lot of love for Sebby. Amazing how personal prejudices creep into the voting.Josh Battle wrote: ↑Mon 12 Aug 2019 2:02am Gee, not a lot of love for Sebby.
