Hunter C
Now we all love Hunter and what he is going to be however I felt last night he might have been listening to too much hype talk.
He needs to be more aware of when to take the game on and when to take a more simple option
I felt he was trying to make every possession part of his highlight reel
He could learn from Laird as to when to use the 20 metre pass and when to try and break the line

not the point
he is a jet we all agree on that
last night he had 6 clangers (the most by a saint) and went at 61% disposal efficiency (5th worst)
at times he tried to do too much and he will learn from that

Re: Hunter C
Just needs to move the ball quicker to teammates by hand and foot when he gets possession, but will learn. Getting better every game, same goes for Coff.

The last thing we need to be doing is stifling a young man like Clark. Let him play on instinct.terry smith rules wrote: ↑Sun 04 Aug 2019 11:58am Now we all love Hunter and what he is going to be however I felt last night he might have been listening to too much hype talk.

Re: Hunter C
Agree, let him play. He's a natural, the ceiling is unlimited with him. I don't think he's flashy just naturally skilled. All what you say will come with games, strength and increased aerobic capacity.The_President wrote: ↑Sun 04 Aug 2019 12:40pmThe last thing we need to be doing is stifling a young man like Clark. I like that team things such as once he dishes off he tries to protect his team mate by checking a chaser.
I think all you described there TSR should be directed more at Gresham than Hunter.

Re: Hunter C
agree with mr smith.
but that awareness will come with gametime.
sure the coaches will talk to him about his game, but best way to learn is out on the field finding your limits.
he's coming along very nicely. coffield too looks to be gaining confidence.

If Cho had his way, he'd simply become a role player that never takes risks.
If you keep reigning in guys' natural flair, you end up in the bottom 4 with a % of 80.
I'd be encouraging him to take the game on more. It's his body holding him back at this stage - not his talent.

Last night's game was a step up in intensity. All of our players were rushed when they got possession.
Mistakes from the pressure of getting the ball away more quickly is invetable. I.e disposal efficiency drops off.
I don't think it had anything to do with HC showing flair or doing too much.
He was just having a crack under enormous pressure.
I agee, he'll get get more composed with experience.
He is a definite keeper.

Don’t think I agree with this.
Regardless - all of a sudden you see the qualities that make Clark. That cleanness picking up the ball is Bont like and the quality that will set him apart from other footballers. Liking him a lot.

Re: Hunter C
Dion Prestia basically said this after the game on the weekend. Said how all young guys that are drafted are usually drafted on their attacking abilities. Dimma just lets them play their natural, attacking game while having some structures around them.BarryGrogan wrote: ↑Sun 04 Aug 2019 4:48pmWe shouldn't be putting any limits on him.desertsaint wrote: ↑Sun 04 Aug 2019 2:19pm agree with mr smith.

The irony is of course that despite your positive persona, I’ve seen you rubbish and criticise many a Saints fan... try White for one.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Mon 05 Aug 2019 7:55pm And still gets talked about on here every day.

Unlike you, most ppl have insight and don’t pretend to be something they’re not.
You know what you are Ted... your not a positive and loyal fan, you’re not some inside knowledge guru... you’re a contrarian. The point of view you back is what’s opposite the main stream... view, you love Richo, think Paddy is a gun, feel Hannebery is incredible value, think Kent was recruit of the year... alternatively you’re out on White, are critical of the call for change, and on it goes.
Motivated purely to piss people off. Not even really that interested in talking football either... that’s why you never go into any details. No insight into either but a typical, go against the grain contrarian. That is what defines your presence here. It’s very boring

Re: Hunter C
Quite insightful Skeptic. Thought a similar thing when Ted decided to pot Minchington and White, both who have played more games for the club than any of us, including Dan Hannerbury, who we are not allowed to raise our eyebrows at in regards to his contract, his ability to get on the park from day one, his removal from the Leadership Group, more questions, no answers. Yet we are the ones that owe the Club an apology.skeptic wrote: ↑Mon 05 Aug 2019 10:57pmThe irony is of course that despite your positive persona, I’ve seen you rubbish and criticise many a Saints fan... try White for one.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Mon 05 Aug 2019 7:55pm And still gets talked about on here every day.

Your scoreboard will be on zero for a while Ted, may as well engrave it & highlight it.
