Where was our President?
Andrew Bassat emailed me a little after 11am to inform me of the coach stepping down, but why wasn’t he at Richo’s press conference?
Apparently he is overseas. Well, that isn’t good enough. I couldn’t care less if he’s doing business deals with Donald Trump, or for that matter, Donald Duck!! He is club President and is needed to step up at such a turbulent time for the club. Would Eddie McGuire do a no-show if the Filth parted ways with Buckley? I’ll bet you any money he sure as Hell wouldn’t!! Likewise, Jeff Kennett if Hawthorn dismissed Clarko.
FFS, we just seem to get these low-profile President, who refuse to step to the plate publicly when we need someone with charisma. This simply isn’t good enough!

Re: Where was our President?
Got to remember Richo has resigned.....the President (voluntary position) can't be expcted to stay in Melb just in case that happens....
I'm more concerned about where Lethlean was?? Keeping his distance so when his mate gets the gig, the appointment looks legit??

What? Ridiculous. So we had the pizzazz, front of house President in Butterss you want ... and how did that work out for us?Sainternist wrote: ↑Tue 16 Jul 2019 2:56pm Andrew Bassat emailed me a little after 11am to inform me of the coach stepping down, but why wasn’t he at Richo’s press conference?

Richo resigned whilst he was o/s. Perhaps he was simply unable to catch a flight back in time. I'm actually happy that once they made the decision they acted swiftly. We all know that if you make a decision and wait then the leaks will come and it will look a whole lot worse for the Club and disrespectful to Richo.
Quite frankly - I'm more interested in what Mr Bassat does in respect of selecting the new Coach rather than sitting at a table today and answering cookie-cutter questions from the media. Actions vs Words and all that.
Bizarre OP
Go you red, black & white warriors

Re: Where was our President?
It always looks better to have a club president who is there during a difficult time for the club. Perhaps just a case of bad timing, like another person pointed out. Oh well, it was just an observation.

No need to get your knickers in a knot, mate!
Perhaps Butterss would have turned out better if he listened to the likes of GT and got his weakness for red cordial and Wizz Fizz sorted out?

As members, we all got a personal email from Bassett.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Re: Where was our President?
Bassat was overseas and could not get back till Thursday.
If we had of waited till Thursday it would have adversely affected us for the game against the Dogs.
