Re: Ins.
2 years ago against Roos, Brown n Carlisle stopped their fwds to the point that Ben Brown and another Norf tall spent a lot of time on the bench, cos they were ineffective.
Hoping AR remembers this

Re: Ins.
Oh the hilarity of the Richo team selection night.
When they send him packing, hopefully soon, I think they should invite him to name a squad each week just for the mirth...
Hard to hate him when he rolls out a squad like this... such a shame he can't name Mav!
A pure comic genius is Richo.
You bloody beauty!!
Look again it's the Flash!!

Armitage gets 1 more game to say goodbye. But not before our last game at Marvel.

Re: Ins.
Picked in starting 22 for the Zebs:
Armo
Rowe
They'll get cut from seniors.
The other Saints bench guys are all on Zebs big bench

Re: Ins.
Langlands was on the extended bench last week but got cut and now not even named. White not named. What is going on down there?
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Re: Ins.
It is baffling. Really feel for White. White looked OK in the backline before getting injured & then helped save a game on one leg. Now it appears that he was effectively dropped??????

Re: Ins.
Brown and Newnes in for Paton and McKenzie it looks like.
I agree with Brown in for McKenzie, but I would have preferred Kanglands in for Paton.
Paton and McKenzie looked fimbly and uncertain with the ball last week, even though the game plan was clearly meant to be keepings off via safe options against the Tigers.

Same old same old. You wonder how things can get better!
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

He'll become a really important player at another club
Newnes back in instead....nauseating
I'm not ususally a 'sack the coach' kind of guy, but this pushes me further and further in that direction.

If Newnes comes in for Paton I don't want to see a single member of our selection committee at the club in 2020.darylcowie wrote: ↑Fri 05 Jul 2019 11:00am Brown and Newnes in for Paton and McKenzie it looks like.

Re: Ins.
Well here's my take .... because the game is interstate and whoever is an emergency will have to travel a miss playing this weekend altogether, it would make sense to have the younger players not named and have them playing somewhere at least.saintadamski wrote: ↑Fri 05 Jul 2019 11:52amHe'll become a really important player at another club

It would be better for Newnes and Armitage to miss playing altogether.
FWIW, I don't think Newnes or Armitage will play at all unless there is a very late withdrawal.

Re: Ins.
Disgraceful ins. Hopefully all are emergencies. The obvious change was White in for McKenzie. Langlands deserves a shot as well. I could handle them dropping McKenzie to bring in Brown and send Battle forward, but if any of the other three come in that is pure incompetence.

Re: Ins.
They're not disgraceful ... they just smack of Cho 101 as usual. If he is indeed the head of his Match Committee (usual practice for the Senior Coach) - I'm convinced he's trying to get himself sacked early.mad saint guy wrote: ↑Fri 05 Jul 2019 12:29pm Disgraceful ins. Given that most Ins listed on a Thurs night for a Sun arvo game are just an inflated interchange bench - where's the harm in naming Langlands or heaven help us ... B White?
Just goes to show how absolutely tone deaf the Match Committee are to their rusted on fans. We all know that finals are a complete fairytale and that in reality, the next 9 weeks are a 2020 pre-season and yet, Sam Rowe. As Slobbo would say - flabberbasted.
I still haven't heard a good reason as to why B White was selected against the GCS and despite recovering from the thigh injury he sustained early - was effectively dropped thereafter. It's entirely clear to me that the photos Mav had of Cho <edited by mods> were not distribtuted to B White upon his departure.

I think that you will find that there will only be one change. Brown in. Out? Possibly DMak.
