Same thing happened to us, on the 27th of December when the club had shut for Christmas and we went down to the club for a kick for our eldest birthday, he was decked in St Kilda gear.
We got down to Moorabbin and it was deserted other than two people doing training drills, worked out it was hanners and a mate.
He was fifty meters away and came over very quickly introduced himself and invited our son onto the oval for a kick...
Made all our day.
He didn’t have to but did and I’ll forever think him a legend.
Can’t wait to see him play.
