Mav Weller getting a game
Mav Weller getting a game in a top 4 side proves our list depth is pretty good. Funnily, I would take Kent, Parker, Long and Lonie to play that forward role over Mav any day of the week at the Saints right now.
Not that it's any news but our lack of star power and A grade power is what is holding us back. If only 3-4 current players move into that bracket or if we get 1-2 of them from somewhere else then a quick ladder rise isn't out of the question post 2019.
Who is our best bet to go A grade from now on?
Max King?
Clark?
Coffield?
Billings?
Gresham?
2019 will tell us many things.

Re: Mav Weller getting a game
Didn't take long for the Tiges to figure out Mav is a pre season training specialist.
Actual games are a little different.
But he's hot diggity in February on the track.
Hooooot Diggidy dog.
His brother seems to be in a similar situation.

Re: Mav Weller getting a game
I reckon if Mav never plays another AFL game he will have achieved more than most in his young life.
Imaging too how exciting it would be to be his family and friends tonight getting the opportunity to watch him play for one of the league's biggest clubs in the comp in front of 80k punters.
A pimple on the arse as the saying goes.

Umm yes.
But we're on an AFL chat room.
The question is whether St Kilda blew it by letting him go.
We didn't.

He was terrible tonight so many mistakes, panicked with the footy....as long as he is picked Richmond will be trash.

Agree but I thought I'd state the obvious because how would anyone know about people’s personal lives on here...GilsAuPair wrote: ↑Thu 28 Mar 2019 9:48pmUmm yes.

I think I wrote last week he’d get a game for the fist couple of weeks but maintaining the output is the challenge.
Definitely dropped next week, unlikely to return IMO.

Re: Mav Weller getting a game
I think he's been picked because they ARE trash...or at least underwhelming since 2018. A baffling recruitment to be honest. No premiership for you!!!The Recruit wrote: ↑Thu 28 Mar 2019 9:52pm He was terrible tonight so many mistakes, panicked with the footy....as long as he is picked Richmond will be trash.

I agree and I truly believe Billings will become an A grader or close to manybe an A minus.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Thu 28 Mar 2019 9:05pm Mav Weller getting a game in a top 4 side proves our list depth is pretty good. They are the two for now Max King will take time.
