Sam Mitchell?
Interestingly the Hawks seem to have just made their final coaching appointments.
http://www.hawthornfc.com.au/news/2018- ... y-elevated
Chris Newman and Max Bailey will take on new coaching roles for the Hawks in 2019.
Newman, senior coach of Box Hill’s recent premiership-winning side, will step into an assistant coaching role with Hawthorn, while Bailey will take over as senior coach of Box Hill.
So Sam Mitchell has to go somewhere and Lethlean has flagged an exciting coaching appoinment, but it will not be Banger.
So hopefully that is Mitchell to us. If so, then congrats to Lethlean for gaining both Ratten and Mitchell.

Would be a good get - think they’d have shared that with Shiel....

I was just assuming the Hawks. But if the Hawks, you would think with finals all done and dusted it would have been part of this recent Hawks coaching announcement.
Here's hoping...

He's increased his order of Dencorub
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

Re: Sam Mitchell?
They would only need to fill Bailey's development coaching role and I doubt Mitchell would be interested in that

Re: Sam Mitchell?
Though that itk is a "newbie" with no track record.
However WCE B&F is tonight 5th October and so it makes sense that after tonight that both Gaff and Mitchell will declare where they are going.
GWS B&F is also tonight. So the various players at GWS including most critically Shiel should declare their preference too.
The next few days could be crucial to immediate future of the Saints.

Re: Sam Mitchell?
Shiel will choose Carlton by sounds of it although what’s intriguing is they refuse to give up pick 1 ....so next years?
If we offered pick 4 this year it would put them in a tough spot ..
I like the idea of missing Shiel and trading up if possible to get a shot at Walsh.....but sounds like Club has a hard on for King.... which leaves us very tall sobyoud think Brice goes?

Well...he's going to somewhere in Melbourne.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Re: Sam Mitchell?
Ratten is a career assistant coach and Mitchell is probably a good 5 years away from being qualified for a senior gig so AR is looking over his shoulder but it's not because he's got assistants that will be taking his job.
AR keeps his eye on Big Footy so he'll know when his time is up.

Actually, time is already up for Alan (hence why we’re trying to bring in people with a match day footy brain..) it’s our pathetic AFL Corporate Careerist CEO who hasn’t gotten with the program....

Re: Sam Mitchell?
It’s just money. Surely that’s all it is. They don’t want, or can’t afford to pay Richardson out. Hence, he stays. Surely if he were at the end of his contract he’d be out the door.Teflon wrote: ↑Fri 05 Oct 2018 2:27pmI think BF will know time is up for Alan before Alan does...Cairnsman wrote: ↑Fri 05 Oct 2018 1:39pm

Re: Sam Mitchell?
The problem extends way further when you have Board & Coach mentors like "kermit the frog" who openly states and seems to believe Richo is the next Buckley & Hardwick.Teflon wrote: ↑Fri 05 Oct 2018 2:27pmI think BF will know time is up for Alan before Alan does...Cairnsman wrote: ↑Fri 05 Oct 2018 1:39pm

If this is being preached externally it must be believed or at least broadcast internally.
How do you bring players like Shiel on board with the mantra that Richo is the next Bucks/Hardwick and expect them to buy into the club?
I think this is what Jaxsons alludes in his unprofessional pitch statement, more about the message than how it is delivered.
