Re: Freezer omitted WTF??
Brown was rubbed out and not a long time solution so we needed a tall defender to replace him. Goddard is screaming for a go. The season's near ending so why not have a look at him and Austin?

Re: Freezer omitted WTF??
He only had 55% game time last week ..... for 14 possessions mind you
Any reason for the limited game time?

Re: Freezer omitted WTF??
this is just bewildering ......I'm all for Rice continuing to get games, and for that matter, Lonie as well seeing he seems to be improving, but surely Newnes or Armo, known average to below average output players, could make way instead of a guy who has actual potential and has just strung two games together? I know the drums are beating for the Saints at the moment, but unless he is sick or injured then I agree - WTF? Not even an emergency!

Haven’t got a problem with Goddard and Austin, although I think we’ll be to top heavy.howlinwolf wrote: ↑Thu 16 Aug 2018 7:44pm Brown was rubbed out and not a long time solution so we needed a tall defender to replace him. Agree - stupid decision.
Is Richo trying to destroy his confidence?
If he is fit let the kid play out the season so we can see what he can do.

Re: Freezer omitted WTF??
Does anyone know why he only played 55%?
Are they putting him on ice?

Not an emergency either so if I had to guess probably sore, or (hopefully not) injured.
I think he played a similar % game time in his debut too though so maybe we can't read into it

Re: Freezer omitted WTF??
First time poster but long time follower here. Richo has certainly lost the plot with omitting Freezer. Newnes lucky to be there this week & McKenzie went missing last week. Gotta get games into Freeman, was a stupid call.

Nathan Freeman (Omitted), Nathan Brown (Suspension)
Not (Managed), (Injured) or (Not Strong) etc

Yeah but unless I'm mistaken we have seen Omitted used for soreness this year at least oncesaintsRrising wrote: ↑Thu 16 Aug 2018 8:05pmThough the Outs say:

Re: Freezer omitted WTF??
There are 7 players in this side I would not be giving games to - and that is the reason I do not support the Coach
We are in the position we are in because these players are selected and continue to be selected
We have a 188cm CHF and a full forward who averages a goal every second game
I did note that Freeman seemed to spend more time on the bench than on the ground last week and more so in the second half when his on ground presence was cameo only
This was more puzzling because his first half was more than adequate from where we were sitting
There obviously needs to be changes at the top because there appears no direction within the footy Club
That said, we trust Austin and Goddard shoe something but the lack of quality among our mid sized defenders will again hurt us including the inability to rebound - and I include Webster in that assessment
The Coach appears to have his favourites, matching his own skills of an ordinary plodder

His efforts playing on Johannisen at HFF a couple of weeks ago were absolute garbage.

Re: Freezer omitted WTF??
Just another weird selection,to add to the others this season. So no contract for next year these idiots let him walk elsewhere when he is finally up and ready to play.Getting to the stage after a life time supporting this club am so pissed off,its not funny
Re: Freezer omitted WTF??
Can only imagine he is being managed. Assume he won’t be playing at Sandringham.
Newnes must have photos.

Re: Freezer omitted WTF??
Selection this whole season has lacked courage and its been my complaint since about Round 6 ( probably sick of my rants here by now). Billings dropped way too late prime example, much better once he found form. This continues the trend. If Freeman is injured or sore state it, Austin, Goddard and Carlisle makes us a very tall backline against a mobile forward line of Roughhead, Gunston and Breust , way too mobile . Unless Carlisle to play forward.
Newnes is a protected species and has been all year. 7 tackles in the first 6 games ( 4 in one) and hasn't been close to being dropped. Weller is the same.
Roo summed it up perfectly the leadership on field, in the box, and in the boardroom lack the balls to look anyone in the eyes regardless of name, draft position or birth certificate and say your not delivering your dropped.
Hence why coach is not in the review
