Luke dunstan and Acres MUST STAY
I am scared.
We underestimate Dunstan.
He is a gun. Go have a look at his dogs game. He never misses a target. While not fast he covers ground well. Very smart footballer.
Acres. This is the next fyfe. Signing him for 4 years was brilliant. Notice his core and balance. Its robert harvey good.
These two are key and i worry if they want to go home.
Does anyone know what they are thinking long term.??

Hopefully they both meet a nice Melbourne girl ... or boy or whatever they like ... and decide that Melbourne is their home. We need to hang on to these two.

Re: Luke dunstan and Acres MUST STAY
I trust the Saints to keep Dunstan; he is a core player, essential to club. They only trade guys like McEvoy and Goddard for very good reasons.
Luke stays. Don't stress.

I think St Kilda's girls are superior to Melbourne's girls.bigcarl wrote:Hopefully they both meet a nice Melbourne girl ... or boy or whatever they like ... and decide that Melbourne is their home. We need to hang on to these two.

Dunstun will be a solid contributor for us for years
Acres on the other hand has superstar written all over him
Both players will chalk up 200 games in the RW&B

Acres is going to be something special.
Dunstan I need some more convincing.
Competition for places every year is strengthening so anyone that goes backwards will lose their place very quickly.

Re: Luke dunstan and Acres MUST STAY
I think Dunstan is a selfless team player and should have a solid career, but I don't think we'd have any trouble covering him on the field. Luke is very slow and doesn't do a lot of damage with his disposal. In 2017 I expect Stevens would be a better player in the same role. Unless Dunstan massively improves his endurance and outside running I don't see him ever being a top 3 midfielder at a club. He should certainly improve somewhat, but he'd need to have his average disposals pushing 30 to ever become elite. If we had the opportunity to get a top 10 pick back for Dunstan and 36 I'd take it. We already have a plethora of inside mids, now we need some elite class on the outside.

Re: Luke dunstan and Acres MUST STAY
Dunstan moved out for his Under 18 year with his brother. So based on what Twomey has said thats a good indicator of a players mentality about playing away from home. he's always said borders, vic country and players that have moved out are quite stable when they go interstate etc. Acres has a dog and girlfriend here and the fan base loves him cant see him turning his back on it. Same goes for dunstan the club and the fans saw him as Lenny 2.0 so theres a big following and backing.

That sort of crap defies logic, and reallly pisses me off.
Armo is a contacted player and can't be by forced to leave the club.
Why the f*** would he.
He and his mates have been through the hard times and done the hard yards.
Good times await and some posters think it would now be a good idea fo him to be traded off. What bulls***.
Just goes to show thart some posters have little working grey matter.
