This is oh so St Kilda
Miraculously charge towards the final only to fall short at the final hurdle, because we left our run too late. You couldn't script it anymore St Kilda!

Yes I can see a pattern developing. It happened once 38 years ago.

Perfectly answered Kosi. Trying to remember the time previous to 1978. Was it 1940 and 1902 because then it is a definite pattern.

The OP joined 12 months ago. I would guess the Saints are her second team. Her first team might be a in the bottom 4, just a guess

This poster in the past has said we have "loser supporters" and also called for Richo to be sacked after tge Crows loss, he also said once that "Paddy will become a bigger joke than Jack Watts".

I believe you are describing Richmond. Ninth again, the Richmond tigers finished ninth again.........Locals322 wrote:Miraculously charge towards the final only to fall short at the final hurdle, because we left our run too late. You couldn't script it anymore St Kilda!
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

"oh so St Kilda"? to be written off by the pundits and "experts" leading into the Dullbogs game. With only the Village Idiot and two others tipping us to win. And then witnessing THAT performance! God how I LOVE my club!

We are fortunate to be in the position we are in - it gives the younger players a taste of building up in a finals like situation. We are a pretty outside chance to make, it but lets take it for what it is a development year and better results than a lot expected. Either way we finish 9th or 8th it will be a great result and something to build on for next year.

We are $4.00 to make it - North still $1.25 - Port have blown out to $101.00 with the loss!
As I said in another thread - beat North and we are in the hunt - lose this weekend - and the race is over - this weekend is our elimination final!

Re: This is oh so St Kilda
I said to someone a week or so ago, I can see it coming down to the last game against brissie, and we will have to win by 120 points or something outrageous and we will do it.
Yep oh so St Kilda, thats why only certain people have the character required to barrack for StKilda. Thats why we dont have the biggest following, because there just arent enough people with the character needed to barrack for StKilda. How easy to barrack for a Hawthorn or Essendon would it be. Especially Essendon cos if they arent going too well they just take drugs and try and cut corners. Yay standby hirdy...... um who

John Silvester was very close wasn't he?! Picked us to win by 17thejiggingsaint wrote:"oh so St Kilda"? to be written off by the pundits and "experts" leading into the Dullbogs game. I had thought this would be a marking time season, but it has suddenly become a whole heap of fun.
