Vice Captain is??
With Nick signing on for 2017, we need to have a Vice Captain named. The next Captain of course, but who would it be? Jack for mine.

Can't wait for Brian Taylor to bust our balls with his repetitive droll, but it'll be worth it because i reckon the boy from lorne is worthy of leading us to our next flag

Jacky Boy +1
If he doesn't for some unknown reason come up to captain expectations, then I'd go with my second vote for Mav

AR was complimentary of Jack for his first effort as captain and was impressed with what he saw and heard

Impressive effort lead from the front - well done Jack. Its marvellous who stands up as leaders when given the opportunity. If you can have posiitives out of senior players injuries then it occurred this week, with Roo and co out has given other players a chance to shine.

Re: Vice Captain is??
If you'd asked me 18 months ago how Jack Steven would go as skipper, I'd have probably laughed in your face. Quietly spoken, nervous in the media, he just didn't seem like the kind of guy that would want to lead the club, let alone be the best candidate to do so...
The levels this guy has grown to are outstanding, and it's clear that he is well liked and well respected within the 4 walls of the club. And he's got more improvement in him too.

Geary...
People get too caught up on what player they want as a leader.
Ask them who.
You might not like the answer.
What's weird is people ignore the evidence that points to his leadership within the group.
Doesn't have to be the best player.

Steven, without question.
He isn't great with the media, and not a born leader in terms of seriousness, but he plays like a leader.
He drags the team along and has never, not once, dropped his head. He plays inspirational football, and is enormously respected.
It'd be an appointment much like Walker from the Crows. Let him grow into the role and the players will follow.
I often think leadership skills are overthought and in many ways overrated.
I personally would have Jack Riewoldt as Captain of Richmond, yet he's not even in the leadership group. Doesn't meet their leadership KPI's, yet Cotchin who is ostensibly the perfect leader, always goes missing when the heat is on.

I'd like Jack Newnes. He is very underrated
