Agree. I think travelling emergencies will be DMac and one of the bigger guys - maybe Lee. I would like to see Sinclair have a run in the midfield at Sandy .stonecold wrote:If fit Billings & Webster in

No change. Webster and Billings could use a run in the 2s. Neither setting the world on fire. Murdoch played well and deserves a run. Sinclair and DMac both get another chance IMO but would want to show a bit more.

These posts do all three.
It is tiresome and the troll is wrecking the forum with the constant baiting

He'll stay in the team unless we find someone better. We need him to do a job on Eddie if we are to have any chance of winning.longtimesaint wrote:Do you know anything about football or the Saints?#gosaintas wrote:Surely Richo was having a laugh with that one

We should develop someone better. In the firsts. Webster has the courage, skills and speed. Just not the concentration. He needs to learn it by playing on these guys. Same goes for DMAC. He has all the skills needed.

Re: Changes for next week
Ok, Geary is a foot butcher but in all the games I have seen this season, I would put Monty and Webster- maybe Armo in front of him as far as poor decision-making resulting in offensive plays to the opposition. Geary has kept some good opposition players quiet so far.

He has kept some good players quiet, no doubt, but he's not the future and we aren't playing finals so I'd move him on now and let a more accomplished player learn the craft. Poor decision makers can't play in the backline. He panics too often. Same thing with Gilbert. He either plays up the ground or at Sandy.

Re: Re: Changes for next week
Completely agree I have no love for Geary as above. The guy is like having a gutsy 'frank spencer' running around its comical. He played ok last week but all he had to beat was Ballantyne who has done nothing for the last 18 months. I wonder how many goals Betts will kick this week before AR loses his Geary love and moves him off Betts? Betts has always had the wood on Geary yet they send him to him time after time.#gosaintas wrote:He has kept some good players quiet, no doubt, but he's not the future and we aren't playing finals so I'd move him on now and let a more accomplished player learn the craft. The fact that AR backs his players in to do a job is a positive, but not to the detriment of winning IMO.

I reckon we've all got your message gosaintas. Can you post maybe something else other than potting Geary, Gilbert or the backline?#gosaintas wrote:He has kept some good players quiet, no doubt, but he's not the future and we aren't playing finals so I'd move him on now and let a more accomplished player learn the craft. Geary is very much part of the next finals window. He turns 28 in four weeks. Would have at least another 4 - 5 years in him.

I second this motion re enough of the continual Geary, Gilbert and backline bashing. We have ALL heard your opinion on this matter OVER and OVER. It ispretty much all you post about. It is in the realm of baiting and trolling now.st.byron wrote:I reckon we've all got your message gosaintas. Re: Changes for next week
I watched the tape of our game against the Shockers but only the first 20 minutes of the first qtr and the whole last quarter (I couldn't go through the second or third qtrs again) and Murdoch and Sinclair did not touch the ball until the last two kicks of the game - NO JOKE - Did not touch the ball in all that time.stkfc1 wrote:No change. Having said that I don't reckon you should bring someone in for only the one week unless they were truly pitiful.

Re: Changes for next week
Tricky one as no one played badly, though DMac and Sinclair were on the quiet side. Both did lay 4 tackles though.
Murdoch did well considering it was his first senior game for the year.
But you would imagine that Richo would be most keen to get Billings back, and Webster has been a regular 22 if available. Might not be a bad thing though if both came back fresh for the Blues game.

Re: Re: Changes for next week
Maybe get to a game one day instead of watching on TV. I find it incredible you can critisise any player when you probably have not seen the team live all year.Impatient Sainter wrote:Completely agree I have no love for Geary as above. Watching on TV it is impossible to see how he organises the backline and reads the play.
But pot away. I reckon the coach and people who actually see the game live have a better idea of his worth.
Get over it cause he will be around for seasons to come.
