Seeing as they gave the oldies Fisher, Demps, Joey and Gilbo a good run in the praccy game to blow out their cobwebs, I guessing they may rest these guys for this weekend and try out some of our other fringe players to see if someone jumps out and impresses.

Re: NAB game against North Melbourne 20 Feb
Can't see us even getting close to North. We are at least a year away from being able to compete with a top four side.
They always take the pre-season night series very seriously traditionally and we just have to many question marks on who is in our best 22. Just a practice match at the end of the day so don't be too disheartened if we get a hiding.

I'm concerned we my not win a praccy match.
The only issue I have with these games in woop woop is that the grounds are up to standard.

I'm pretty confident that the surface in Wangaratta would be significantly better than Etihad Stadium.saintspremiers wrote:I'm concerned we my not win a praccy match.

Etihad is a fantastic surface.

Anyone getting to the game? This is borderbarry territory?
Re: NAB game against North Melbourne 20 Feb
They've named a young team http://www.saints.com.au/news/2016-02-1 ... ourne-team
Dempster gives a bit of experience and organising for the young backs. Likewise Steven for the mids.

My In-laws live in Mooroopna (near Shepparton) so my wife and kids can visit with them whilst I drive the 1:20 to the footy...

Certainly didn't look that way yesterday morning. Must have been a concert there over the weekend or something.ripplug66 wrote:Beno88 wrote:I'm pretty confident that the surface in Wangaratta would be significantly better than Etihad Stadium.saintspremiers wrote:I'm concerned we my not win a praccy match.

I actually didn't mean this week, I'm meant when we play on it during the season. Have no idea at the moment.

I'll be there, driving down from Canberra,Con Gorozidis wrote:Anyone getting to the game? This is borderbarry territory?
As I did a few years back for the 'game' that the Bumbers didn't turn up to.
Apparently hot not wet this time, really looking forward to seeing the new boys and the development of other younger players like Paddy, Hugh, Jack B and Jack L.
Disappointed but not surprised that Roo, Joey and Armo are sitting out
Anyone know if any pre or post game functions are planned? Not sure if ther's a Saints supporter group up that but think there used to be.

A lot of our very best players are missing, Roo, Joey, Gears, Billy Longer, Armo, Roberton, Sam Fisher. Will be a big effort if this young squad can get over North.
Re: NAB game against North Melbourne 20 Feb
He didn't play the praccy. He had a shoulder reconstruction and hasn't been in full contact training. Gives Hickey first shot at proving he should be the ruck.MC Gusto wrote:Is there any reason billy longer isn't in the team? Did he play the praccy match?
