Should the Essendope thread be moved to the Opposition Forum

My personal view is that “the issue” of E’dope has League-wide ramifications, hence it should stay where it is. The CAS official statement on the Essendon case show that it's not a "Melbourne-only" matter either, the World Sports Industry is watching this one.

Mate I'm trying to protect the game's interests, and more to the point, the international reputation of Australian sport, which at the moment, is a laughing stock because of some wannabe banker and a tryhard Civil Engineer out at Napier Street, essendon, a few years back.

I think the thread being on display to non-members is good. if the thread was offline and out of view, I (and others) likely would not have found it in late 2014.

Not the point. It doesn't really matter to me one way or the other, but as I and many others have said previously when this has come up on the thread, why should one irrelevant thread have a place on the main board and not all of the other irrelevant threads. State and federal elections have large effects on all football clubs, including St Kilda, but it doesn't mean we should have threads on the Fan Forum for elections.

We have a specific place for threads like this, why shouldn't it be there. The most activity the thread gets lately, other than Rushies cut and paste, are discussions about relevance and people whinging about other posters.

That said, another 3 or 4 months on the main board won't hurt, then the appeal will be done with.

Yeah, I don't see the problem… yes technically it should probably be in the opposition forum, but it is clearly the most popular thread SS has ever had.

Seems to be old-fashioned party-pooping going on to me, wanting a thread moved that you don't read. I don't enjoy it, so I don't want anyone else enjoying it either.

Regardless of the results of this poll, the thread has over 22,000 posts and 500,000 reads… it's the biggest scandal the game has ever had.

Just don't click on it if you don't want to read it.

While we are still playing against them once or twice a year it remains relevant.
When we stop playing them or the 34 players involved no longer play then it will not be relevant.
Wont be many left of the 34 left next year you would think. Maybe leave it on the main board until the end of 2015.
