Nick Riewoldt
Today football is embracing him, not only impressed by the love being shown for him by saints fans, but this year the greater football public finally fell in love with him.
Sad it took this to humanise him.
Yet its there, finally, and about time too.
He has done wonderful today, as has his family.
I'm keeping footy out of this one, hope today is everything they hoped it would be.

Agreed, will never understand the animosity towards him. Never been a dirty player, always given his all.

Re: Nick Riewoldt
Agree entirely with your sentiments SainterK.
Just got home from the match; told the wife she had missed a great day. So much class on display today made me proud. A huge tick to the Tigers players and supporters who where right into the spirit of the day.
One of the more memorable days I have had at the footy.

Agree wholeheartedly Trev. A lot of love and respect shown.
Most poignant moment for me was during the warm up , when they were showing pictures of Maddie to the tune of You'll Never Walk Alone, Nick was walking alone and you could see he was wiping tears from his eyes.

Poor bastard was playing injured but had to play.
Maybe they could say to him to fly up north for a few weeks with Catherine and the baby and do some recovery work in the warmth of North Queensland.
