McKenzie
Apparently the kid had 19 touches today which sounds pretty good, but walking away from the game I can't really remember anything he did. Did I miss a lot or was it just one of those inconspicuous play-your-role kind of games from him?

Re: McKenzie
You must have been caught up in the emotion of the game because the kid showed alot.
Should try to catch the replay.

Re: McKenzie
was great, one contested ball on the wing in the last quarter was critical and brilliant

Incredible game by someone in second match. So much upside, we're unearthing some gems...

Re: McKenzie
Was completely overawed by the pressure early but worked in nicely for a solid contribution, definitely something to work with.

Re: McKenzie
Had a guy sitting behind me who started bagging him in the first few minutes of the game because of an errant handball. Obviously someone with approx. 30 mins. total experience in the AFL should be spot on with his delivery. I kept praising him for the rest of the game as he found his feet. Looks very skillful with quick hands.
McKenzie
Watching on TV, it was evident that he is a really good all rounder. Surprisingly strong on the inside and in one-on-one situations and clean in the handball and pass. Not a stellar game but extremely promising for an 18yo in his 2nd game.

Today was the first time I have seen Dan.
I am 48 and have seen a lot of games and a lot of first games by Saints. I am struggling to recall anytime I have walked away from a game having seen a first game by a new player being ever so convinced that we have a real player on our hands.

McKenzie
He won two very important contests that went along way to helping us get over the line. He stood under a footy 25m out from our goal, got crunched and still took the mark. There was another on the wing 1v1 contest where he won the contest and took the ball forward.
Re: McKenzie
Dropped his head after his first 2 touches, boys kept feeding him footy and he blossomed.
