Sightings
Players
Late December back in 2014 (not 63) while looking after my two terrorists (two kids 5 and 3 -it was a special time for me) we saw Sam Gilbert walking his staffy bull terrior mutt along Sandringham beach. I read that he has been under the knife & is recovering...but gee he looked proppy...still walking with a noticeable limp

Jan 2 2015 on the main street of Port Fairy inside rebeccas ice cream shop, along with my terrorists we saw a young girl about 10 wearing saints gear of jumper and shorts. Not a bad effort for a 38 degree day. My "go saints" comment was greeted with smiles from her parents.

Re: Sightings
Whilst holidaying in Mandurah(Perth) with the kids we bumped into Farren Ray. He saw our members sticker on the car. Great bloke took time to talk to talk to the kids and have photos. He also posted it on his twitter account thanking us for being members.

Re: Sightings
Mid October I met Nate Wright and his girl friend at Movie world in the Gold Coast. We actually went on the superman ride together.
Top bloke. Said I was the first to recognize him in without any saints gear on.
When is family day??

Re: Sightings
Before Xmas, when I was reading a post on Saintsational about Sam Fisher moving to St Kilda, I looked out my front window and saw him walking past down the street.

Speaking of the summer of 1963? I was at a milk bar in Rye in Jan 1964 when in walked Carl Ditterich wearing only footy shorts! Perfect athletes body, brown as a nut, longish blonde hair, towering over everyone like a colossus. What a specimen! I was with my girlfriend of the time and I don't know who was drooling the most her or me!st sandy wrote:Players

Well if you can prove an ordinary comment like that then I will believe you. The fact I have spoken to Ferg in the last month makes me say you are completely wrong.

Well he is in Thailand at the moment with his girlfriend even though the latest picture on facebook has him with a ladyboy. Footy wise it depends on work. He certainly wasn't sacked from Sale because of being on the gear as far as I know. Waiting for Redeemer to come up with some facts though.

Had some talent. Pity he didn't realise it fully, like so many others.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Unfortunately he couldn't handle the training required for AFL footy and was injured a hell of a lot. When he went to the WAFL he didn't train as hard and made the state team in his first year.

That demonstrates the gulf in standard between the two competitions.plugger66 wrote:White Winmar wrote:Had some talent. Pity he didn't realise it fully, like so many others.

It does but it also shows he had enough ability to be semi regular or regular if he could have got his body right.
Re: Sightings
Not a saints player, but in late 2012 (i think it was) I was working at a cafe on southbank, opening the shop at 6 am, along stumbles rod butters, sweating profusely looking coked out of his mind. He was struggling to navigate the bins and benches. I waited till he was about 20 meters away before I yelled out "rod" to see if it was him. He turned around at the same time that I stopped looking directly at him, rather choosing to watch his reflection in a window... He stood there like a rabbit in the headlights, confused as hell, for about thirty seconds before moving on.
Joey, goose and the boys used to visit the george in st kilda a fair bit back in the day. Joey was always the most loaded, Dal seemed to keep his wits about him, and Blake would just sit there smiling. Joey must have really turned it around.

Re: Sightings
On a well needed holiday to Australia last month, went to a huge pie shop at a big servo stop just north of Newcastle and saw a middle aged bloke in a Saints polo with a couple of kids. I felt like going up to him and shouting GO SAINTS! but didn't want to act unseemly in front of my family.
Just My Opinion

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Re: Sightings
Is that a full time commitment, BS, or is he only going to make a couple of guest appearances? I wouldn't mind going down there and making a day of it and watching the great man in action.Bernard Shakey wrote:Lenny at Sorrento!
