He is our future small forward.
At 174cm he can't play in many other positions.
He will be roving to McCartin

Very happy about this.

His video highlights on the afl draftmachine show him winning the ball and either kicking a goal or hitting McCartin on the chest.

On SEN today the champion data people said he would be one of the steals of the draft. Has pace and elite kick, and x factor.

Not a fan of this at all - IMO the 1 position small forward (Milne role) is too 1 dimensional. If he can't go midfield what's the point??

Don't get it at all - Petracca plays mid AND kicks goals resting forward (think what Ablett adds for Suns doing this).

will be interesting to see if they can develop a mid/half forward role for him, even if it's just 30% of game time. Champion data suggests he has the skills and agility to go top 20. Not a bust at pick 41 but could be very good replacement for Schneider.

may mean we don't require Saad.
the video of this guy looks like a nifty smart player who looks to create and use his accurate left foot.
on the radio they said he is an in your face type. we could develop a rather hostile forward line.

He's not just a 'small forward' he's a forward 50 distributor, the type of guy you want kicking it inside 50 - Similar to Schnieder. Skills are exquisite and had very good chemistry with McCartin for Country. Also won the award for Vic Countries best player throughout the championships. Good get, Saints.

And did this ever matter with milne? If your a good enough small forward you don't need to be able to play anywhere else..

I know It's only highlights that I saw but jeez he has great game sense, and a very lovely kick of the football. Something that St.Kilda lack a lot.

Adam Schneider is 175cm. There have been a few drafted lately who have been 177cm. Does one inch make all that difference when we're talking about a small forward?

Lewis Taylor, the young gun from Brisbane is 173cm. Didn't stop him from being a star in his first season, and he did a lot of his work in the midfield.

I didn't follow the draft that closely but I don't think Petracca was available at 41.
