If they come from geelong they must be great. They have never had a dud on their list.
Re: Taylor Hunt & Mitch Brown worth a look???
I'd take Mitch Brown.
What?
Sorry?
Huh?
What do you mean there are two Mitch Browns?
Well colour me purple. I want the other one then!

If Ross Lyon was here they would be on there way to Seaford - thankfully our talent scouting has improved!

Like Schneider, Dempster, Ray, King and MG. Remember we had no money in the cap and also a pathetic recruiting department. Not sure there were many choices.

Is Taylor Hunt that bad? Thought he looked half decent when I've seen him. Not that we've got a spot on the list for him anyway.
Opinions are like arseholes, everybody's got one.

Re: Taylor Hunt & Mitch Brown worth a look???
I actually think if a few things fall his way Mitch Brown might be a good pick up for us.
Cheltenham/Sandy lad originally seen as a high draft pick (went at 15)- from what I've seen he looks OK - and has battled for a spot against some very good tall defenders.
But I think he needs 2 things to fall his way for this to be on the cards -
1 we draft a key back ie Mcdonald - who will need a few years to develop into the position.
2 Josh Bruce plays mainly forward
Delany will be our sizable defender and will surely need someone who is 'ready to go' - ie a mature aged player, to help out while we develop another class backman. If anything if Bruce is to play forward surely someone like Brown will be required if we haven't drafted a Mcdonald type player
Given that he is delisted can we just sign him ? Can we sign him as a rookie ?

As per my above post I don't think that's the question at all - the question is who will be our second key back in the next few years while we develop a key back of premiership winning ability ?stinger wrote:the question is.....will either of them win you a premiership???....girlong obviously doesn't think so....why should we??????

Re: Taylor Hunt & Mitch Brown worth a look???
Given they have been delisted it is probably safe to assume they were offered as steak knives in the Rhys Stanley deal and rejected, so I would be thinking the club has little interest in them.
Taylor Hunt is a reasonable run with player with very average disposal, I don't think we need another one of these on our list.
Mitch brown is KP size but doesn't play with KP aggression or presence.
No to both from me.

Taylor Hunt was on SEN this morning and unless I mis-heard him, has been invited to do pre-season training with the Saints.......

Sweet, now that we have got rid of Pelchen we can finally fast track this rebuild: Taylor Hunt, Mitch Brown, Shaun McKernan, Patrenko, Robinson, Lucas…True Believer wrote:Taylor Hunt was on SEN this morning and unless I mis-heard him, has been invited to do pre-season training with the Saints.......
For the love of god, no more average recycled players that can't get games at struggling clubs please.

He wants to go to Richmond or that's what the papers say.True Believer wrote:Taylor Hunt was on SEN this morning and unless I mis-heard him, has been invited to do pre-season training with the Saints.......
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Petrenko's shown a bit hasn't he? I've always thought him a pretty handy player when fit. Plus, his wikipedia page (lol) says he grew up a Saints fan.dragit wrote:Sweet, now that we have got rid of Pelchen we can finally fast track this rebuild: Taylor Hunt, Mitch Brown, Shaun McKernan, Patrenko, Robinson, Lucas…True Believer wrote:Taylor Hunt was on SEN this morning and unless I mis-heard him, has been invited to do pre-season training with the Saints.......

If the club looks at a few recycled players and chooses one to be a rookie it's probably because they want to fill in holes in the age profile. We are fast becoming the youngest list in the comp so possibly not the worst move just hope we don't loose spots that a got junior rookie might get.

Petrenko doesn't get the ball, doesn't kick many goals, doesn't make many tackles… so I think we can safely give him a miss.

A few recycled players means a few young guys don't come to the club.
