Some predicted we wouldn't win a game. We have won 3 and after the break, the kids will come back fresh, a few injured players may be back and we might win one or two more.

However unless you are a novice at this game you must know our list is in rebuild mode and nobody could do anything with this bunch at the moment.

This is the first thread I've looked at since the end of the game. I note the time it was posted was at 6.12p.m. - About half way through the 3rd quarter or towards the start of it.

The first half was an embarrassment. It really was. No pressure, no effort, no energy, no care. It was disgraceful footy against a team that is talented but still very young, and are basically flat track bullies at this stage of their development.

The second half, once we started to pressure the opposition, get the ball and RUN we looked far better. In fact by the end of the game I was reasonably satisfied. Thought Longer wa fantastic in the ruck against a far bigger opponent. The kids all went okay in the end. There was still horrific mistakes, but I reckon if you can't cop that, you better look away for a few years.

As supporters we just want to see EFFORT. We got that in the end. Now we need to see it for more than a half. Supporters have every right to be frustrated with that first half, and not accept it. Ju8mping on a forum at half time though is not the smartest move I reckon.

I actually like Richardson but our poor starts have cost us the ability to be competitive in games. The opposition are now preying on this and tearing us a new one in the first half of games. That and our lack of risk taking, our insistentence on looking backwards for handball options and playing the boundaries is doing my head in!

We have lost our sense of belief and hunger we had earlier and to me Richardson is responsible for this!

Jesus over reaction much. We have a really young inexperienced list who are learning the hard way about the effort required at AFL level. Today after a disastrous first half they dug deep to turn the tide (perhaps with GC taking their foot off the pedal a bit). That is a step up from the Hawthorn game where they were deers in the headlights for the whole all game. Baby steps. If you are 10% slower team these days you get killed on the break. Due to poor drafting and development we are a slow team with average disposal. The first few weeks was pure honeymoon. This is the reality of where we are. Welcome to reality. That's what Richo is dealing with. You should to.
