Betting odds v GC

Post: # 1461894Post Con Gorozidis »

I am not promoting betting.

Suns 1.22
Saints 4.25

Bookies basically giving us no chance on our own dung heap.

You might have that around the wrong way me thinks.

I dont bet but got sucked into Sportbets $50 free bet.

I turned that into $400 and thinking of putting it all on the Saints beating the Suns 1-25 pts @ $6.00

Am I crazy to think we're a massive chance? :|

I think we're a chance but I'm not confident enough of betting on the Saints atm.

I feel like the AFL has been very unpredictable this season and not good betting.

Looking at this game in particular... the Saints are tired, with injuries to Armitage, Gilbert, Fisher, Wright, Geary to name a few

On top of that, Roo looks proppy, and Steven not to great atm

Who's going to tag Ablett

I just don't like it. I certainly don't think we'll just win either... if we win, I think it means they'll play poorly and our stars will push us ahead and we'll win above 26 points

We are ok for Taggers - in fact we have three, Curren, Weller and Jones.

But we really lack outside pace, spread and polish and our fwd line is too one dimensional.

If we do win - we need to win in a low scoring scrap. We cant win a free flowing shootout.

This is a good game to bet on.
If you think we are a chance I'm guessing its not by much, say 2 or 3 goals. $10 on 10-19 points will get you a return of 120. $10 on 20-29 points will return 150.

GC at $1.20 is very poor, they do not deserve to be paying that short and you'd be a fool to back just the win as it returns so little. Betting on the under/over 39.5 for this game is tricky as it could be a blow out or we could put up a fight, i think both sides are just too unpredictable. What would be a good bet to do for GC is $10 on 10-19 at $7, $10 on 20-29 at $7, $10 on 30-39 at $7, $10 on 40-49 at $8 and $10 on 50-59 at $9.50.
It's $50 worth and if they win by 10-59 the minimum profit you make is $20.

Good summary Con. We would need Roo, Montagna, Billings and Steven (who may not be play) to get off the hook and have blinders to match GC talent. Monty and Steven will have a tag, Billings will be much closer marked now he's shown his quality and they will have a put a lot of work into a plan for Rooey. We just don't have a lot of players who are dangerous. Stop Rooey and you pretty much guarantee a win at the moment.

For me, we are a bit short on the Backline and we are desperate for better options up forward, as the double-teaming on Rooey is closing us down.

Run and spread from the centre is also going to be tough against their quicks..

Did you bet $50 and make $20?

Lucky it didn't blow out, you must have been worried at half time, 57 points and we'd only kicked 4 goals

A mate had one of those ridiculous 17 tier multi's going into this game. He needed the Suns to win by 25+ to collect $4300. He was celebrating at half time, terrified 3/4 time haha

How much did he outlay to collect $4,300?

Sounds dangerous to me.

I only did the 3 bets, 30-39, 40-49 and 50-59. Had 50 on the 30-39 so 350 return, but had 40 on the others, I'l still take that win.
