I think you are confusing Mark Fine with the management of the St Kilda Football Club. Two weeks ago their review says that Scott Watters should be retained. Today sacked. None of those incidents involved a presenter on a radio show.

Simple fact is that Mark Fine had some inside information and that information has proven to be spot on. You may not have liked his delivery of said information, but he was accurate. So was Jon Ralph yesterday for that matter. And Caroline Wilson.

Blind Freddy new there were problems with the inner samctum so Finey wasn't exactly a prophet here
Perhaps the flow on from his and the rest of the media alarmists pot-stirring added more fuel to the fire, and as a result Watters position had become untenable.
Wouldn't take much for the Board to grab a final straw and try and wipe the slate clean for the foundation of a total team rebuild

I think people are within their rights to be critical of that.

I'm impressed that he was right, but to say he didn't contribute to our club being put through the ringer in the media over the past couple of months would be incorrect also. I'm still not a fan of the way he has bagged his club for his show.

It seems that what he was banging on about was very accurate.

But it seems fair to assume that everything that has happened in the last few weeks would've happened anyway if he had kept quiet. Only difference being that our club would've faced less potentially damaging public muckraking and his show would've recieved less publicity/ratings.

Yes he was right - hooray for Finey! But that's mainly due to him being privvy to information that most of us aren't privvy to.

So I'll admit he was right but I'm not sure I see the need to apologise.
