Easier for some to be negative at all times. Optimism requires effort....plugger66 wrote:BigMart wrote:Ironic

'Support' is not in your vocabulary.
I have to hand it to you though, your last few weeks have been tremendous in the negative stakes, even by your extraordinarily high standards. It's actually become amusing such is the sheer persistant negative drone

BM, of course you don't have to agree with every decision the club makes, or like everything the club does.
But for God's sake man, you don't have to disagree with every decision the club makes, or hate everything the club does either!
Some people don't enjoy their jobs but keep at it because they need to make a living.
Some people don't like some of their relatives, but hey, they're family.
But supporting a sporting team is different. We are supporters because we support. That's what defines us.
Now sure some of us at times wear rose coloured glasses and see things a bit too optimistically. But that's a natural thing for a supporter (e.g. fan) to do.
And of course supporters should voice their concerns with decisions the club makes.
But a supporter who constantly, on a daily basis, can only find negatives in the team, is not a supporter.
Now that may only be my opinion, but I'm sure it's supported by every major Dictionary in the world.

As a Saints supporter based in Hobart, I was going to go and cheer on Nicky Dal at the next Norf game anyway. Now I can cheer the saints on to a great win. You beauty. Been a while since the saints have come to paradise. Glad to see them back!

BigMartyr should visit Hobart for the game.
He could also get a bit cultural and arty, and visit the famous
Museum of Old and New Art (MONA)
He would, of course, get free entry and free refreshments at MONA,
because he IS one
