I love rooey
Just saw a grab on fox footy before the game, geeing the players up, giving tit bits of advice.
Seriously, this guy is just awesome. Worth every cent.
Never ever gives up.
Just love him.
That's all I wanted to say.

Love him too but geez he's an awful kick for goal for a forward who obviously gets a lot of shots and practice.

Should have been blooded as a CHB years ago.
His attitude is simply disgusting at present.
Spraying Ray for daring to have a ping from 30m, after he's missed 5 shots under no pressure himself is appalling leadership.

Re: I love rooey
I am surprised when a player has 2 on him and leads to a pocket.........we continue to attempt to "lob" it into his lack from a side not renowned for foot skill.....

Re: I love rooey
Was disappointed when michy kicked his first, roo was about 3 mtrs away and didn't go to him. I know he'd been for a run to make a lead, but he seems to be a mopey and I'm not sure he even thought to...

He won't be helped though, it's not in him to. He wants to do it all on his own.PADDLEPOP1001 wrote:Roo is a champion and has lifted us off the canvas plenty of times on his own ,he is now starting to need help ,the bloke runs his guts out for the saints and any supporter who doesn't" realise that is a first class knob!

He is a champion but has flaws.
No need to put him beyond reproach, it's not the end of the world to criticise an aspect of his game.
Don't go all #standbyroo on us firey

Re: I love rooey
Mate, I simply appreciate talent and Roo is talent personified and still great to watch. As much as I am frustrated by his goal kicking I can't help think of what he has done for this club and the pressure he plays under Re His aging body and knees.SainterK wrote:He is a champion but has flaws.

I can't bring myself to bag him and nor can I find a valid reason. Superstar but unfortunately too many have short memories

Re: I love rooey
Roo bar a few off kicks played a great day, as the norm all over the place helping out... and on his shot knee.... but in the 4th i noticed Gibson started to beat him on most times... 1st time i have seen Gibson get the better of him.

Absolute superstar. A privilege to have watched his career. The Fireman wrote: I can't bring myself to bag him and nor can I find a valid reason. Superstar but unfortunately too many have short memories
We Saints supporters have been on an unbelievable roller coaster ride with Roo over the last 13 years. Seen the freakishly talented #1 Draft Pick start to bloom in the GT years and almost lead us to the ultimate success years later. We've seen him come back from an horrific hamstring injury and try to lift an aging and battered team into the finals one last time. And now, when we are in a rebuild phase with no prospects of short term success, the bloke just keeps presenting.
Flaws? Yep he's got a few. But stuffed if I'm gonna make a deal out of them.

Re: I love rooey
His kicking is atrocious.
He huffs and puffs but really doesnt do as much as his body language suggests.
Hes nowhere near as good as Roughhead and miles behind Buddy.
Us Saints fans over rate him.
