I think this shows that the tide might be turning against Essendon/Watson. We probably won't get a better idea until they play Hawthorn on July 28. One thing that is for sure; If the media get a sniff that the tide is turning, they will jump as well !!

Our game is full of passionate fans. That's what it's built on. How else can one explain the extraordinary success of this indigenous code played in a few states of a country with a relatively small population.

The fans love the game and the AFL loves that the fans love the game. Their whole promotion of the game is based on it.

Therefore it's only reasonable to expect that fans are going to respond the way the did last night when drug fuelled super humans run all over the top of the local team.

It's not neccessarily right, but it is a reasonable crowd response.
