It isn't so much about winning and losing at this stage. I want to see the team play the right way with the right intensity eg 80+ tackles every week. The four points mean nothing to us in reality, but I want to see our future imbedded with what I regard as a good, competitive culture.

The way the draft is set up, the AFL will punish us for winning.

Part of me wants to win so that the kids arent surrounded by a losing culture but part of me has already moved onto drafting for next year and beyond, so I wont be shattered if we lose.

Until we have a lottery system with the bottom 9 teams we will always wrestle with these kinds of thoughts.

It depends on who the opposition are.

IMHO Roo needs a holiday from August, Hayes if he plays on also.

agreed....big difference between tanking and preparing for next season.

We're not going to make the finals so we should plan to get Roo and Lenny 100% fit for next year.
(I hope Lenny wants to go 1 more season, the kids need his example)

Put games in the young blokes...draft/trade/recruit well and we could be right in amongst it again in 2014.....
