They were beyond appaling. Nick Reiwoldt would of had to of been shot to of earned a free kick in the fwd 50 He was being held pushed and enough high contact that is was laughable. It wasnt just roo it was the all around the ground. At the same time the lightest infringement against the dogs was given a free kick

The rules committee and the AFL have just made this great game too confusing.

Get rid of the Geish and employ professionals who understands the spirit of playing footy. When you see some obvious free kicks mised...or you see a mark not paid when it was clearly controlled by the player...or you see a technical tickytouchwood free or 2 decide a match, that's when it puts you right off.

I hadn't seen that many 50 metre penalties paid in one game like that for quite a while and it wasn't.t really a game "worthy" of those pathetic decisions .

But I'm feeling the same way about the game of the AFL . Destroyed and taken away from the average supporter and I 'm not sure we'll see back as we once knew it.

The umpires were not the reason we lost the game tonight .
The dogs were harder at the footy and well deserved the victory !

My problem is with the decisions , the umpiring from the start of this year had copt allot of flak not only from fans but also the media . Geishan and andy spruik the usual BS how 99% of the free kicks are right , then suddenly for the last two weeks they stopped paying the soft frees .
Then tonight happens and i'm confused again !
We had 27 free kicks tonight , we had 26 in total against carlton and adelaide .

After about half way through the first quarter i had no idea when the umpire blew his whistle , which way he was going to raise his arm !

Can anybdy explain what any of the fifty metre penalties were for ?
