Watters
WTF is he doing with our game plan from an ordered structured system we had - we are now a haphazard rabble of opportunists - its like we were chess champions who have bought in a pictionary expert who gets everyone to feel good about themselves off field but on field has nothing of value to offer - Its one thing to be nice - its another to get action on the field at all costs - this round was a pathetic start of the year - even GT got young inexperienced teams to have a crack. Personnel are irrelevant effort is imperative - don't tear apart 10 years of cultural change Scott - please no more wooden spoons here!!!! Please!!!

Scott said he was happy with our effort. Do you think we lacked effort?

That would have to be the most nonsensical analogy ever

His fundamental love of outside flashy players (tdl, milera, saad) rather than those players who actually go and get the footy, is going to haunt him

Re: Watters
and ross lyons love of skilless hacks, mcqualter, jones, baker possibly haunted him?
What is dead may never die, but rises again harder and stronger.
Re: Watters
He must of been watching another game, or pissed. We were ok, half acceptable for a half. The second half we were pathetic, embarrassing, soft, and outclassed by a side with 6 wins in a history. Has honestly gone out of football? That was a piss weak effort.8856brother wrote:Scott said he was happy with our effort. Do you think we lacked effort?
Poochy 1 2 3 4 and 5 should be reinstated!

Lyon developed a gameplan to make the most of what players he had, and could get.
As to the lack of skill, you should look to JB.
Rule changes have along with gameplan chanes also further conspired against the less skilled

pathetic post. we are rebuilding. we will lose more in order to go fwd and win a flag.MrCordz wrote:WTF is he doing with our game plan from an ordered structured system we had - we are now a haphazard rabble of opportunists - its like we were chess champions who have bought in a pictionary expert who gets everyone to feel good about themselves off field but on field has nothing of value to offer - Its one thing to be nice - its another to get action on the field at all costs - this round was a pathetic start of the year - even GT got young inexperienced teams to have a crack. i doubt watters would be making the same moves if we were in the hunt for a flag this year. for instance i doubt we'd be playing both hickey and mcevoy

Re: Watters
Reality check!
The team has a long way to go before competing for top four again. More game time and probably a few more additions and subtractions to go yet.
As for Watters, wasn't one of his best nights in the box. He still has a lot to learn, but he knows his footy. Lyon had his howlers, even after those GFs (2011 final against the Swans).

Re: Watters
Ablett cant be stopped...we had jones, gilbert and ray rotating on him...he still got 35 touches and 4 goals...but if we are serious we shoud've still won in enough positions to cover the ablett factor....it was farkin gold coast.

Our inability to handle it cleanly in the conditions, and keep our feet, were major problems.
