Re: Any one been watching training / Fb
I still think Kosi could play on just the big forwards, not the speedy athletic types....
It doesn't have to be a whole match, or often....just if a 'big guy' is getting on top as happened quite frequently last year.

Isnt our ain to stop their forwards kicking goals? Kosi is a forward ruckman with either the Saints or Sandy. It doesnt matter how big their blokes are as kosi would be lost in rotations.

Thats great except nearly all big fwds in the AFL are 'speedy athletic types'.SainterK wrote:I still think Kosi could play on just the big forwards, not the speedy athletic types....

Thats how why they are AFL players in the first place.
The less speedy/less athletic types can be found in country and suburban leagues across the nation. And I agree with you. I have no doubt Kosi could play on them as a backman.
Re: Any one been watching training / Fb
Well, to be honest....teams play us and even decide to push their ruckman forward.Con Gorozidis wrote:Thats great except nearly all big fwds in the AFL are 'speedy athletic types'.SainterK wrote:I still think Kosi could play on just the big forwards, not the speedy athletic types....

Re: Any one been watching training / Fb
Ok So Kosi can stand in the backline on the off chance a team rests a ruckman there. Thatd be fine if we were allowed 19 on the field.SainterK wrote:Well, to be honest....teams play us and even decide to push their ruckman forward.Con Gorozidis wrote:Thats great except nearly all big fwds in the AFL are 'speedy athletic types'.SainterK wrote:I still think Kosi could play on just the big forwards, not the speedy athletic types....

Best drop Ben back to cruise the backline while Rhys takes the ruck contests in the fwd 50.

Ben has saved us by doing this several times over the last 2 years....some days seem to be the only one taking marks down there..Con Gorozidis wrote:

Re: Any one been watching training / Fb
Kosi can't even hold his ground or keep up with backmen. To think he can do anything apart from standing behind other players and crashing a distracted pack is ridiculous. Other teams forwards are usually more mobile and better players than their defenders. He has no defensive game at all and bugger all attacking game.
Zack was often beaten one on one and u think kosi is better ?
Laughable.

I think the answer to the question "has anybody seen any training?" must be No.

Re: Any one been watching training / Fb
I think the actual question was asking if anyone had been to training and seen anything different - ala Pods training down back at Geelong.
Kosi and Roo was an example. Not how bad do alot of Kosi bashers think he would go down back.....If you go thru numerous posts on this forum you will find that answer ad nauseum (if you can read thru the countless childish bickering posts amongts a few posters!!)
Being from W.A (obviously can't get to training), I would actually like to know, and think it is a great question....

Have been away in southern Thailand. Been back for a week now. All I can tell you is Newnes is looking very impressive. Not much else to report.SainterK wrote:Has there even been open training yet?

P.S. Whilst in Thailand , in the bungalow beside my wife and I was a girl doing a photo shoot for a week. Her name is Natalia Siwiec . Google her- let's just say the relationship with the wife was very precarious !

spot on i to live in remote WA, why i asked. You would think if they had ear marked sum one as a possible Fb he would be working on it over the preseason. I was just being sarcastic about kosi and roopluggernaut wrote:I think the actual question was asking if anyone had been to training and seen anything different - ala Pods training down back at Geelong.
