Re: Tom Lee Traded for our pick 12
Reading between the lines I'd say we will look at trading 24 for Hickey or someone of that ilk.
Re: Tom Lee Traded for our pick 12

Pick 12... that is a high price... GWS certainly calling a few names out this year...
Very interesting move, one that I'm pretty sure no one would have predicted..
Probably shuts the door on Caddy now... As when (if) we get pick 13, we will want to have atleast 1 pick in the first round..

Re: Tom Lee Traded for our pick 12
24 will almost certainly be used on Tom Hickey so effectively;
Gain: Lee & Hickey & pick 43
Lose: Pick 12
At least it addresses too of our needs. I can't say I know much about Lee though.

Good size and good age but the real question is can he play?
Any WAFL watchers out there that can shed some light?

Re: Tom Lee Traded for our pick 12
cant believe we gave up pick 12 for him, he was originally drafted by the crows but was delisted after only 1 year, trained with Freo last pre-season but was overlooked for a rookie spot. Unbelievably high price, makes you wonfer if we will now go after Caddy with pick 13
Re: Tom Lee Traded for our pick 12
Kicked 6 goals in the Foxtel Cup
And if we do indeed move pick 24 to GC for Hickey it's essentially Pick 12 for Lee & Hickey. Which sounds alright. A couple 21 year olds. Fills our need for KPP's and a ruckman in one swoop. Also the right sort of age.
Will have to wait a while to see how it pans out though.
Likely that we'll hold onto 13 now?
Edit: Foxtel Cup not WAFL. My bad.

Re: Tom Lee Traded for our pick 12
According to the phantom drafts on Big Footy he was 2nd round at best. Anyway we also picked up GWS round 2 and 3 picks, the first in each round. We have been saying we will use our 2nd round (34) pick for Hickey. We will probably use 24 for Brown, if we can convince Cripps to stay.

From Knightmare's Phantom Draft on Big Footy.
#37 Fremantle – Tom Lee (WA – KPF/KPD)
Height: 194cm, Weight: 94kg, DOB: 02/01/1991
Recruited from: Claremont
Style:
Player Comparison:
Range: 30-rookie
Profile: Most promising key position player running around in the state leagues. Lee has impressed this year and has absolutely exploded as a key forward. Lee can play key defence and play it well and in the past he was more of a key position utility of sorts but this year Lee has really found his position and seems to get more comfortable and more dominant as a key forward by the week. Lee is no longer the skinny kid he was with Adelaide and has really developed into a marking presence up forward. Athletically above average and has good pace and leap. Accuracy for goal good from both field kicks and from set shots. Ready to play from season one and step into the forwardline.

Re: Tom Lee Traded for our pick 12
So from looking at that he could possibly be used as a defender if needed.
