Re: 3 year offer for Mitch Brown
yep trade radio....Plough reckons he'll ply 22 games for StK FC next year and that is a bigger carrot than playing with his brother where he'll be competing for a spot
Nee!

Re: 3 year offer for Mitch Brown
Just reported that he wants to join his brother at Collingwood on Facebook...which is it I wonder?
Re: 3 year offer for Mitch Brown
He would be a complete moron to join Collingwood. Talk about career suicide if that was the case.

Re: 3 year offer for Mitch Brown
Are his injuries behind him?
Not hugely excited about this one?
Reassurance anyone?

Do you think the appeal is working with Max?
His brother may of spoken highly about him, we all know he worked wonders with his brother at the pies

Re: 3 year offer for Mitch Brown
I reckon playing regular football is the appeal, St.Kilda would be a good fit for this reason & he's back in his home state.
Re: 3 year offer for Mitch Brown
This is it I reckon. He wants to play in his home state and play 22 games a season. That is why he's chosen the Saints, we're easily the best option for that, having no-one at the moment to compete directly for his spot. It's a win-win for both he and us - if he comes at the right price. Talking to some WCE supporters, they're expecting ridiculous compensation which includes the Goddard Compo.savatage wrote:I reckon playing regular football is the appeal, St.Kilda would be a good fit for this reason & he's back in his home state.

Imagine if we believed everything said on Facebook...Sainterman wrote:Just reported that he wants to join his brother at Collingwood on Facebook...which is it I wonder?
They walk amongst us...
Re: 3 year offer for Mitch Brown
"He has suffered a horror injury run through six seasons on the West Coast senior list including a complete knee reconstruction and missed the entire 2008 season as well as a succession of hamstring problems and he spent two months of last year sidelined with a broken thumb"
Is this over hyped at all?

Cripps for Brown is good enough for me. Could be a win-win.SaintWodonga wrote:http://www.sportsnewsfirst.com.au/artic ... -st-kilda/

Re: 3 year offer for Mitch Brown
This deal could be difficult to get over the line.....
IMHO there is no way the Eagles will accept a straight Brown / Cripps swap (I wouldn't). Similarly I would be disappointed if we gave up either 12 or 13 for Brown.
Perhaps something like Brown + WCE Pick #18 <------> Crips + StK Pick #12 might get the deal done

Failure cannot succeed in the face of persistence......

at most player straight swap and a late pick. anything above that and were getting ripped off.
