Rhys
Should we/could we/would we roll the dice and rush him back?
I know he is a guy who needs to regain touch and timing and takes a few games to warm up - but I just honestly cant see us beating the cats with Wilkes, Ben, Kosi as our 3 talls.

Re: Rhys
I would normally be against the idea, but hey, it really is the last roll of the dice, if his hamstring went again and he missed the last 2 it would barely matter at this stage. The only concern is that if he does it early in the match we are compromised for the rest of the game, we can't afford that against the Cats…

Re: Rhys
It would be nice to have him in, but the problem is that "dicky hammies" can go at any time - the first 5 minutes.
It would be a real role of the dice. What would i do - if he is training flat out and feels ok within himself, I would take the chance and play him. If any doubts (90% ok), I would not play him.

Did you learn nothing from the game against North? What's the point of rushing him back if he pings it again and misses the rest of the season?Con Gorozidis wrote:Should we/could we/would we roll the dice and rush him back?

Also heard on SEN Rooey will do all the rehab to play Friday night. Doubt it, we always tell fibs about our selections and do last minute changes but who knows?

Re: Rhys
Rhys said Saturday he was 100% ready to go next week in the 1s or 2s. Hammy already been given extra time to ensure no further breakdown. The cause has been found and ongoing work being done to combat the problem. Hopefully this will solve future hammy issues.

Issue is, if Roo plays at 80% fitness, is he at risk of a full ACL injury?StevieSaint wrote:Also heard on SEN Rooey will do all the rehab to play Friday night. Doubt it, we always tell fibs about our selections and do last minute changes but who knows?

Ahhahahaa hamill still on the injury list!
Rhys has to play. Roll that damned dice. His speed is unstoppable.
Take a risk, if the string of ham snaps again so be it. Just take a risk.

Re: Rhys
It would be a big risk in season defining game. Lyon brought back Stevie Baker for a Grand Final after a similar absence. Roo also came straight back I remember. Completely different player and circumstances though.
What about as a sub?
