How do you know that when you asked who it was. Who cares. I want Brisbane players suspended.

The Brisbane player who felled Lenny was Brad Scott. A bit late, but I still reckon he should be suspended for it.plugger66 wrote:bigcarl wrote:Worth a couple of weeks surely.

i know because I saw it on TV in the background at work. No idea who it was though.
And I care. No one does a dog act on Lenny without making St Kilda supporters like me very angry.
As a former umpire and keen commentator on the game's judiciary, how many weeks do you think?

Hocking!
Grrr....
Gone, good video footage
It was pretty ordinary, wasnt it. He was looking the other way when he was sniped. How many weeks do you think, K?
Re: Who was the sniper who felled Lenny?
2 at most, wasn't head high...but cheap behind the play bump
They will be missing Hurley, Crameri, Hocking next week....hope Port knock em over.
Though in saying all that, the MRP probably love Len as well...5 weeks?

Wasn't head high? He was bleeding above the eye! Hocking has a poor record I think so probably get 2 high contact, reckless, medium impact!
Maybe this year?

Re: Who was the sniper who felled Lenny?
I'd say it was intentional and high impact. Medium impact isn't going to send Lenny to the ground for a good length of time.rexy wrote:Wasn't head high? He was bleeding above the eye! Hocking has a poor record I think so probably get 2 high contact, reckless, medium impact!

Evidently Port are copping a lot of heat for their gutless effort against the Cows - me sense a statement in the form of a 'line in the sand' match coming up for them.

Using BJ's 2 weeks against Sam Wright as a measure Hocking gets at least the same. Off the ball, at least the same contact.
However the MRP lotto could come out with different numbers.

i was very disappointed in our players reaction. we needed to send a message that our heart and soul players cannot be targeted. if they do, they will be sent off in a stretcher. kozi should have been sent to hocking to send him off permanently.

Re: Who was the sniper who felled Lenny?
I assume you are joking. There is only one thing worse than an undisciplined act that gifts a goal to a team - an undisciplined response that reverses the decision. The best response is to take the goal and then point to the scoreboard. Whilst we probably had the game at that stage, the action of the Essendon player "shut the door" on any comeback. In my view, the action was reckless, had high impact and was high contact, drawing 325 demerit points.defacto wrote:i was very disappointed in our players reaction. we needed to send a message that our heart and soul players cannot be targeted. if they do, they will be sent off in a stretcher. kozi should have been sent to hocking to send him off permanently.

the game was well and truely over before the hit. the hit got them firing again. they knew they targeted the emblem of our club and got little resistance. that same reaction can cost you a close game.perfectionist wrote:I assume you are joking. hocking should have been sent off. would have sent a very strong message to other clubs. target players who are the heart and soul of our club and you will come off second best.

Re: Who was the sniper who felled Lenny?
In years gone by that was just a stupid free kick however Hocking might get a week for his actions.bigcarl wrote:SainterK wrote:http://www.afl.com.au/video/tabid/76/de ... #playvideo

s*** happens and I doubt that Lenny will cooperate with the Tribunal when giving evidence as I doubt he gives two craps about it. Hocking looked genuinely remorseful after the silly bump/hit as he didn't remonstrate with anyone after it.

Re: Who was the sniper who felled Lenny?
He probably doesn't deserve any more than one or two weeks. He immediately regretted his actions and it must have been a momentary brain fade.
However, his poor record, and the fact that he hit Lenny Hayes - of all people - could see the book thrown at him. I hope not.

I thought I saw Kozi breathing fire and another of our players stopping him from going in and doing something really dumbdefacto wrote:i was very disappointed in our players reaction. we needed to send a message that our heart and soul players cannot be targeted. if they do, they will be sent off in a stretcher. kozi should have been sent to hocking to send him off permanently.
Re: Who was the sniper who felled Lenny?
he was done by that point anyway, for another misplaced push/shove/jumper punch without the jumpermullet wrote:I thought I saw Kozi breathing fire and another of our players stopping him from going in and doing something really dumbdefacto wrote:i was very disappointed in our players reaction. we needed to send a message that our heart and soul players cannot be targeted. if they do, they will be sent off in a stretcher. kozi should have been sent to hocking to send him off permanently.
