Train Alert
Yes folks it's on again.
www.metlinkmelbourne.com.au
Due to track improvement works taking place in the underground tunnels, Pakenham, Cranbourne and Sandringham line services will not travel via the City Loop on Saturday 30 June and Sunday 1 July.
Also see No City Loop trains and the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines: after 8pm on Friday, 29 June 2012
Travelling to the city:
Pakenham, Cranbourne and Sandringham line trains will travel directly from Richmond to Flinders Street. They will not travel via the City Loop or continue on to Southern Cross.
To Southern Cross:
Customers for Southern Cross will need to change trains at Flinders Street and catch a Lilydale, Belgrave, Glen Waverley, Werribee, Sydenham, Craigieburn or Upfield line service. Please check the information screens at Flinders Street for the next available train.
From Southern Cross:
Customers from Southern Cross should catch any train to Flinders Street and change trains at Flinders Street. Alternatively customers may catch Lilydale, Belgrave or Glen Waverley line train and change trains at Richmond.
And wait there's more-
Due to track works between Moorabbin and Mordialloc, buses will replace trains between Moorabbin and Mordialloc all day on Sunday 1 July.
Journey times will be extended by up to 30 minutes.
I think I'll drive

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

How does Myki work on Sundays...Never used it on a Sunday before.
Presuming just a cheaper fare, but no idea how cheap that fare is...

$3.30 I believe they're advertising it as. A flat fee for all day.mick13 wrote:How does Myki work on Sundays...Never used it on a Sunday before.

Re: Train Alert
This is the week came to believe that Metro has morphed itself into the late but not lamented Connex.
The 635am to the city has started to develop a bit of a ghost train reputation.

Re: Train Alert
Seems a bit weird that they do this on a Sunday where the Saints are playing in town...given our demographic of having loads of supporters in the SE corridor.
Theyve had the last upteen Sundays or the next umpteen..but no it has to be THIS Sunday.

Re: Train Alert
As? The train from Mordy to MOOrabbin? Hold the presses! No. I get ya. No Franky trains through the Loop either, so go straight to Flinders Street and don't collect $200. Listen to the announcements at Flinders Street, decipher them, and if the train forms a Werribee or Williamstown train, stay on it. If it is a Frankston, Pakenham or Cranbourne train ( i.e. going back), get off and go the platforms 2,3,4,or 5, depending on the next train out - and hope for the best.Ice Wolf wrote:So what's the story with the Frankston line as it uses the same f****** tracks?

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!
Re: Train Alert
Crap how the track works will affect those who come to watch the match from the Frankston, Cranbourne, Pakenham and Sandy lines...but rather then trying to find which train will be the next to take you to Southern Cross, why don't you just walk to Etihad?
It's only a brisk 10-15 min walk to from Southern Cross from Flinders st...
