Clever marketing. GC aren't playing this round and GWS play Melbourne. Plus no gimme games -

Re: for the gamblers amongst us
I don't think the ride was a shocker. He obviously misjudged the horse in the last 50m but once he realised he stretched her out and got the win.
It basically only meant she win by a head instead of a length.
Bit of an overreaction I reckon.

It is an over reaction. But then again because of the narrow victory the english are laughing at what we have been calling the 'greatest' horse. While Frankel won in a paddock, caviar wins by a nose. Doesn't help now that we know they wont go head to head.Johnny Member wrote:

And if Luke had've ridden her out she may have won by half a length in which case the English would still be laughing.Griggsy wrote:It is an over reaction. Re: for the gamblers amongst us
I must say that I find the Frankel thing interesting.
"Black Caviar is no Frankel", they say.
Well for mine, Frankel is no Black Caviar!
Come and talk to us when Frankel has won 22 races in a row, including a G1 overseas after having torn muscles during the run! There are millions of horses that could have, should have, would have. Black Caviar has.
Frankel needs to do a fair bit more before he's mentioned in the same breath as Black Caviar I think. Being good is one thing, delivering over an entire career is an entirely proposition.
