Pumping North vs Resting players
Norf are rubbish.
We could beat them easily with 4 or 5 rested. Not arrogance just reality.
Again, we have a 6 day break following then play a good side Essendon.
Firstly give Roo another week off to get fully over the calf.

At six and six and out of the eight, you play your best fit side. North are more than capable of beating us on their day

Re: Pumping North vs Resting players
If they aren't rested after a 16 day break they'll never be rested...16 days off is too long anyway and I hope we don't come back flat.
Holder of unacceptable views and other thought crimes.

North and Essendon are the only teams that beat us in the home and away games in 2009. We cant take them too lightly.

We are in an average position and really should be firmly entrenched in the 8 after some pretty craptacular losses.
That being said we need to play our better players when fit to ensure we win.
North are crap however so are Port and look what happened.

Agree, but we did beat them in the '97 prelim so we do have the edge.borderbarry wrote:North and Essendon are the only teams that beat us in the home and away games in 2009. We cant take them too lightly.

We also thrashed Essendon by 100 points a few years ago.Saint_in_SA wrote:Agree, but we did beat them in the '97 prelim so we do have the edge.borderbarry wrote:North and Essendon are the only teams that beat us in the home and away games in 2009. We cant take them too lightly.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Maybe not enough for some of the older players Austinn Powers.Austinnn wrote:We just had a rest! Another ridiculous thread.
Rooey issue is a bit different as he's injured and maybe an extra
Week off will do some good.

Good thread…
I'm thinking
FB Polo Clarke Simpkin
HB Peake Lever Newnes
C Ledger Ross Winmar
HF Ray Shenton Markworth
FF Crocker Wilkes Cripps
Fol Archer Webster Milne
Int McEvoy Jones Gram Sub: Kosi
Might be hard as there are 2 rookies in the side, not sure if we can do that…

Ok if he's 50/50 err on the side of caution given the opposition and a 6 day break to follow before the Dons game.plugger66 wrote:saintspremiers wrote:Maybe not enough for some of the older players Austinn Powers.Austinnn wrote:We just had a rest! Another ridiculous thread.

He clearly was injured before the Adelaide game began but they played him regardless.

Re: Pumping North vs Resting players
I would love to see what these halfwits want and rest four or five players and then have North beat us and we F*** up any semblance of a chance we have this season.
Some of you people really should stop posting about football, it is an embarrassment

Re: Pumping North vs Resting players
if history has any bearing on anything then u can get your last dollar that before this season finishes we'll suffer at least one shock loss and at least one against the odds victory - it is always the way. I wouldn't get too cocky about playing North.
Look again it's the Flash!!

Not towards you dragit, more toward the Op and his mindless idiotic threads.
We are 6-6, and to rest players after 16 day break is ludicrious.
I am sure there would have been Essendon supporters saying the same thing before playing Melbourne.
It is a truly mindbogglingly stupid thread.

Re: Pumping North vs Resting players
I think North are every chance to beat us with a full side… They looked very good against Geelong a few weeks ago, they're just not consistent yet…
Let's be honest we've lost to Port, Freo & Richmond already who are of similar ilk to North

By the way SaintsPremiers, Please note that my nickname is referencing a club legend, not a fictional film character. I don't make references to Roger Moore or Jeff Kennett to you do I? Having said that it is kind of humorous to have an crazy and evil nemesis.

Never ever underestimate your opponents. I get particulalry worried when the poster of this thread says anything about other teams, particulalry after his previous attempts in judging sides...the Carlton on top of the ladder springs to mind.saintspremiers wrote:Norf are rubbish.
