Another positive post. What if he doesnt get a kick and more importantly we win. It will be good on here unless someone finds a negative out of a win. Hope Cripps doesnt do it this week. Someone may start a thead with someones name and then one comment interesting hoping that people will will reply and he can give us a rundown of his knowledge.

Hmmmm, perhaps. We weren't looking too flash after the first few rounds of last season but ended up playing a final, and might have won too had we had all players and staff on the same page.

We looked dead and buried in that West Coast match last weekend, and stepped up and brought it back to 15pts.

Melbourne Demons might not win a game all year, but that doesn't mean their season is finished. They will learn in 2012 who triumphs in adversity, who puts in when the chips are down, who bottles it. They will get an insight into who the real leaders at the club are and what they need. They will learn a lot and get a few nice draft picks. If they win one game, they will celebrate it like a final. The true supporters will band together and get tougher, as will the players, as will the club. They will get stronger through this and if any of them have the heart to watch, they will see rare glimpses of joy; one perfect play, one exciting prospect, one amazing solo effort, one astoundingly brave tackle, something to lift their spirits.

How do I know? Because we've been there. Maybe some of our seasons in the past didn't pan out the way anyone would want, but you can get a lot from losing, and though no one wants to lose, sometimes it's a valuable stage to got through. Every loss is a lesson. Melbourne are back to school this year.

As for us, we are learning too. We have a first year coach, a few first year regular players. This is a valuable year for us, in a way more valuable than if Lyon had tried to squeeze the lemon one more time. This is the beginning of something new here. Stanley, Saad, Steven, McEvoy, Armo, Milera, Simpkin, Siposs, Cripps, even Ledger if he can bide his time until one of the seniors in midfield retire. All these guys show enormous potential, then you've got the next lot, Ross, Curren, Dunnell, Winmar, Markworth, Mitchington. 16 players who are learning the ropes and finding their place in the team, getting experience, learning how their colleagues play, learning what they need to succeed as a senior AFL player.

This year is going to be one to remember.
