Where will St Kilda's next Brownlow Medallist come from?
Is there currently anyone in the squad capable of winning the Brownlow?
It's hard to see the next elite midfielder developing. Steven and Armo are both alright, but not in the same class as Dal Santo or Hayes. But otherwise, not many gun midfielders coming through which is a real indictment of the last 5 or so years of drafting. Who is going to lead the midfield beyond the current core group?

Tom Ledger when he loses his big head and learns to play team footy.
Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

Jack Steven if he can address his kicking, and overcome his OP (hopefully he already has)

Bob Skilton was a triple Brownlow Medallist.
David Wojcinski is a triple Premiership winner.
I don't want any Bob Skiltons. I want some David Wojcinskis.

No idea... but i'd love to see BJ, Dal, Lenny Roo or Yapper grab one.
BJ cause it would mean we'd see less agro from him towards the umps
Dal cause it would mean we'd see him kicking more goals
Lenny cause he's the crowd favorite peoples champion
Roo cause it would show the world what great skipper he is
Yapper cause it would get right up everyones nose, and the Saints faithfull could celebrate the greatest small forward that ever played!

Our next brownlow medalist will come from his mother's womb.
Harking back even further, he will come from exploding stardust.

Jack Steven for me...gets his own footy, does something with it, hard crumber,
goal-sneak, a little bit of pace, looks like he loves being out there.
I reckon he's got 5 or 6 votes already this year. (We'll see for sure on
Brownlow Night!)

im with kosifanuti on this one.
no idea. But if it was up to BT he would come from "Lorne on the great Ocean Road"
All I know is patrick dangerfield os going to win one sooner or later. probably sooner. and he has a great name and rodney is/was his dad.
but gimme a flag over 50 brownlows.

Or a corrupt trading process that involves a side "job" that pays $400K per annum.bobmurray wrote:Where will St Kilda's next Brownlow medallist come from?
I'd say the draft....
All AFL endorsed of course.....
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

Re: Where will St Kilda's next Brownlow Medallist come from?
To me the question should be where will our 2nd premiership come from ??? who cares about the brownlow when a premiership is what we all so badly want ?

I just reckon that Jack Steven might be the man to do it in the next few years.
Loved the way he has the confidence, skills, speed and courage to take on any one.
Did some spectacular stuff tonight.

So there seems to be a consensus that our next Brownlow Medalist will be Jack Steven. But we need to answer the OP question. Where does he come from?Enrico_Misso wrote:I just reckon that Jack Steven might be the man to do it in the next few years.

Does anyone know? I'll send a tweet to BT. Surely he'll know.
