I am sick and tired of seeing Riewoldt stuff us up with his
s*** kicking for goal. If I was one of the players I would lead a mutiny against him. Time and time again he stuffs us up. What a waist of a million dollars a year. He is by far the worst captain in the AFL. HE IS s***.
Re: I am sick and tired of seeing Riewoldt stuff us up with
Well he's kicked 3.1 up until 3 quarter time so he's not doing too bad.
Re: I am sick and tired of seeing Riewoldt stuff us up with
BUT MISSED A SITTER WHICH STUFFED UP OUR RUN ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Old Mate wrote:Well he's kicked 3.1 up until 3 quarter time so he's not doing too bad.
Re: I am sick and tired of seeing Riewoldt stuff us up with
we have not kicked a goal since riewoldt missed that easy goal at the end of the 3rd quarter. it deflated the whole team. if i was aplayer i would be thinking why should I bust my gut to get the ball forward only to watch the most over paid player in the AFL to squander it all.

Riewoldt showed his true colours tonight--he trys and trys, but he isn't mentally tough enough to kick the goals when you need it. What else can I say?
Re: I am sick and tired of seeing Riewoldt stuff us up with
He will go down as a good trier but will always be remembered as a bad kick especially under pressure. It's a shame. And I agree with sainterinstd last year showed he is a little weak mentally. Maybe unfair but the evidence stacks up. Would like someone to convince me otherwise, 'with examples'

Can't argue with that. Shame that for most of his career he has managed to stuff up when the team has badly needed him to convert.
Re: I am sick and tired of seeing Riewoldt stuff us up with
I know he always gives his all but his kicking undoes most if not all of his good work. That's why I would not have him as captain and why he is not worth 1million a year.sainterinsydney wrote:Riewoldt showed his true colours tonight--he trys and trys, but he isn't mentally tough enough to kick the goals when you need it. Riewoldt still has another year to run on his 1mill a year contract...

Short memories. I seem to remember him winning a few preliminary finals off his own boot.
Plenty more reasons for tonights loss than Riewoldt's form. Our forward line did well, it was the midfield and backline that let us down. To be fair, injuries to McEvoy/Fisher played a part but even with them playing we would not have got over the line.

Couldn't agree more .. We had them right where we wanted them and Nick misses ANOTHER clutch goal ! Freakin heartbreaker.
Failed in the GF against Coll when we had em by the balls 3rd qrt we were on a roll and he misses from 30 out ? Heartbreaker !
Will go down as in the same category as Richo .plays there hearts out but misses the hard core Captains goals . Hope he can prove me wrong though , but time again it's all but too predictable .

Yes battle but he is the captain and supposed Champ of the team. Champs don't miss goals like that. It the reason I wear 7 on my back instead of 12. It's just really frusterating but it is what it is.

Buddy won a grand final off his own boot. He has runs on the board unfortunately

Get off Roo - worked his butt off and kicked 3, an absolute champ, no longer in his prime, show some respect
Nee!
Re: I am sick and tired of seeing Riewoldt stuff us up with
Which grand final did he win off his own boot??
Pretty sure he was beaten by Scarlett in 2008, and wasn't even in the best players
was it another grand final..... Perhaps a junior GF

Would Rooey gave kicked the one in the last from outside 50? No but he did get smothered in the goal square I seem to recall.

Buddy was pretty ineffective in 2008andrewg wrote:Buddy won a grand final off his own boot. He has runs on the board unfortunately

Yep he kicked three and played well but he missed an important one and it is dissapointing, his reaction told it all. It was an imortant goal at an important part of the game and it was a Very easy kick.

Re: I am sick and tired of seeing Riewoldt stuff us up with
Kicking goals has always been Nicks crutch , I love the bloke and just wish he'd kick the ones in the hottest moments of the game . Those who want to stand up and say get off his back are in denial . With the title comes the responsibility and far too often when the team and Nick have worked there butts off to get into the game and keep surging , the Captain fails to deliver.

Nick will be lucky to get 300K on his next contract, so that will certainly help the salary cap!Old Mate wrote:Riewoldt still has another year to run on his 1mill a year contract...
