I think if we have an injury free year like 2010 we can still challange. 2 kids like Cripps and Ledger making an impact would help.

Show some Balls now, and have crack. Where are e going to finish in 2012.

Does anyone agree, or have I been drinking too much???

We will make the Prelims.

Big call I know.

I've only had one champagne and one beer, and a sip of cold sake.

I'm on the Coronas with a dash of lemon but I'm feeling positive for some reason.

Probably because I'm pissed

I reckon anything above 7th is a bonus, hopefully it will be a bit more watchable game than this year.Of course if we are 7 and zip I reserve the vright to raise my expectations!

Riewoldt and Goddard to live up to their reputations ,Clarke and Ray to defy theirs in 2012!

Im going to say we finish 4th and lose a tight prelim.

Scotty Watters and his staff implamenting a new exciting style

Improvment from our kids like Siposs, Ledger, Winmar, Cripps and Stanley

New blood like Saad ripping it up

Continued work from generation next in Steven, Armo and Big Mac.

Better seasons from the likes of Gilbert, Roo and Kosi

Plus the return of Lenny Hayes

I dont see why we cant put more than a few sides to the sword next year

BANG BANG

4-6 if we have a really good run with injuries, Lenny and Jimmy to come back, Roo to re capture pre 2011 form and a couple of youngsters to make an impact.

And that is being optimistic IMO.

I'll take that Hurricane.

You mean we'd be good to watch?

I'll take that also!

If they managed to make 6th when everything went wrong, just imagine what they can do if things go right.

I'd love to be wrong, I just think that there will be a few sides improving more than us next year… Melbourne, North, Essendon, even Fremantle & Adelaide.

WCE & Carlton will be better than this year.

Watters will have to get things clicking pretty quickly if we are to return to the top 4. We'll need something special out of the box from Saad & Milera plus some rapid development from some of Ledger/Cripps/Siposs/Winmar

What goes up…

if we have a shocker 2012 at least not playing GWS until round 22 should prevent that...

I believe that, assuming Lenny and Gwilt make it back by the second half of the season and we have only an average year in terms of injuries to our other key players, I reckon we'll make the 8 fairly comfortably.

In terms of where we finish in the 8, it depends on how others perform. None of the other teams is 100% certain to do better than us. I feel that the Eagles and Pies are the most likely to make the top 2. I think Geelong might finally have gone over the hill and, while they will surely finish in the top 4, I don't expect them to go back to back. Hawthorn or the Swans are my pick for the other top 4 spot, but we are an outside chance to sneak ahead of them. IMO we would then be pretty long odds to win our way through to the GF, but it isn't impossible.

None of the other teams seem to me to be major threats. I know the commentators all think Carlton are marvellous, but I personally don't believe in them: they don't have an even enough spread of talent around the park for mine. Nor Essendon: I don't think they're ready yet. And, when I look through the teams who didn't make the 8 this year, I can't find one which I would be prepared to put money on to knock out one of this year's finalists from the 2012 top 8.

Can we hope to do better than to sneak into the top 4 and then bow out before the GF? If, and only if, some of our younger brigade make a significant improvement: eg, one or both of Steven or Armo develops into a genuine star; one or both of Cripps or Ledger really comes on big time; Stanley suddenly gets a big move on, etc. However, I don't think this is a reasonable expectation.

Now or never for a lot of them.

Top 2 or bust.

We'll go like PA in 2004, and win it after most thought we'd missed our chance.

Hopefully!

It will be a very open field next year..

A wearying Cars won the flag through professionalism & experience this year.. An overhyped Collingwood had their bubble burst..
Both sides will not be as good next year..
WC had a fortuitous year, hard to go as well again..
Carlton will be a Judd year older, and there abouts but no better, again..

Essendon, North, Demons & Tigers will all be average and disappointing.. Demons especially will falter.. Most overrated 'young' list in the league.. That many midfield plodders that will take them nowhere.. Especially with overpaying Mitch Clarke to play forward.. End in tears..

It's ripe for Hawthorn to peak and add another one to their tally.. Let's hope we get our sh1t together and achieve what the club deserves..

I'm backing us..👍
