Please don't go, Harves!

Post: # 1163493Post I Love Peter Kiel »

Journos , e.g. Caroline Wilson trying to give the impression that Harvey is so pissed off on missing out on the coaching job that he'll leave.

Please don't leave, Harves. Why would you, if there's a job at Seaford? Aren't you living in Mt Eliza now? Short drive. Can stop off in 'Franga' on your way home.

All the reporting on this has been over the top trying to get an emotional angle on it but in reality if Harves seriously wants to be an AFL coach then he should go elsewhere. He needs to get some creditable runs on the board in the coaching stakes - get a gig somewhere as a stand alone coach perhaps.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

+1

Let's not fall for that idea that if Harvey ever becomes a senior AFL coach it has to be with the Saints. Collingwood did that with Buckley and there's no guarantee that will work out. And Voss at Brisbane is not traveling too well at the moment.

If Harvey is ever the best applicant at the time we are looking for a senior coach then great. But if he eventually gets appointed as senior coach to an opposition club we'll just have to suck it up.

Blame that idiot Nettlefold for making him temporary coach. Total uncalled for.

He is gone regardless. No use to us with a new coach. He'll be looking elsewhere already. Just didn't need the limelight of temporary coach farce.

That's the reality Peter Keil.

I can't take that seriously.

I would find it astounding that someone with the integrity of Robert Harvey would leave the Saints, not because he missed out on the main job, but because he missed out on the main job after being given a caretaker role in an emergency situation.

I mean it's not like they dragged him down to Seaford on some promise. The guy was already in the joint and was already equal next in charge after Ross took off.

Why? Doesn't Harves understand the meaning of the words 'interim' and 'temporary'?

He may, but the media struggled with it at times

And to continue on this theme, the interim temporary coach had to be someone already on the ground. How would Harves had felt of they had've chosen one of the other assistants?

Any opportunity to blast Nettlefold I suppose

Did he say that.?

..or are you inferring that from his general comments about keeping assistants which may or may not include Harves???

Sounded like he would be very happy to talk to Harves about a role..actually said he is looking forward to sitting down with him..spoke beautifully about what Harves means to the club ...looks positive

Sandy Coach looms as an ideal role for Harves, especially if Watters wants his own staff, but Harvey to continue.

Watters RL got to do with it?... Scott nothing to do with the Harvey issue.
