Congratulation Ross on deciding to stay
This is a monumental day for St Kilda FC with Ross Lion deciding to stay on at the Saints. Id like to congratulate the board as well for getting the deal stitched up.
This guy is exactly what we need going forward, despite the two Grand Final chokes in 2009-10. We definitely were capable of winning both those though and i think we have had the best team in the league over the past 5 years, even including Geelong.
Bring on season 2012!! The year of the Saint!

You are obviously not a saints supporter so why are you on here. Surely you have a least one friend to play with. And itsnt because of that comment. I agree with that but that avatar 100% proves you arent a saint.alex_quick wrote:better than geelong even though have won two premierships and look the form side this season to make it 3 from 5 years? i like the passion mate but lets keep this realistic haha :p

well said. my opinion of ross has been wanning recently after a disappointing season but the news of his signing has changed my mind. with the abletts and scullys of the world being easily bought out its fantastic that ross has taken a stand. what a boost this would be to the players, i think it shows the league that we're serious business in 2012!Is it confirmed??? If so f****n outstanding! A case of loyalty & comitment before greed, well done Ross. Now we have unfinished business.

And the entertainment rolls on...alex_quick wrote:so its official? RL is staying for at least another season? shocking news for us saints fans. ross has been poor at bringing talent into the team and he has wasted our chance to win a premiership, the window has finally closed..
i can't understand why you are all so happy we have kept his hack to continue to steer us in the wrong direction for another 12 months.

I read about it at some betting site below

Doesn't look that official, but still sounds pretty positive anyway. I also heard it mentioned on SEN just before.

Fantastic news. It settles things down and the Club can now focus on the rebuilding required over next few years.
I am sure that it was not an easy decision for Ross. Lots of pressure and $ options to move elsewhere. Ross has shown his loyalty. Now the Club has to get behind him 100%.
I am sure that we will come out of this over the next couple of years, without "bottoming out."
