"Kim John Hagdorn (born 8 April 1955 in Subiaco, Western Australia) is a former first-class cricketer and Australian sports journalist.
Hagdorn was selected as a right-arm medium-fast bowler and played the opening match for the West Australian first-class cricket side in the 1977/78 Sheffield Shield season. He only bowled 6 overs for no wickets and did not get to bat as Western Australia beat Tasmania by an innings and 14 runs.[1] He was replaced for the next match by Wayne Clark and was not selected again.
After his brief foray with the state cricket team, Hagdorn moved to sports journalism and is currently the chief Australian rules football writer for The Sunday Times in Perth. He also appears on Triple M as a reporter for West Australian AFL games and is a regular contributor to 6PR's football coverage. He previously held a position as Communications Manager at the Western Australian Cricket Association.[2]
In 2007 he was awarded the Geoff Christian Media Award and the Jack Lee Best News Story Award by the WA Football Media Guild. In 2008 he was again awarded the Jack Lee Award for Best Football News Story by the WA Football Media Guild.
He currently gives an AFL preview on Fridays and review on Mondays on WA station 91.3 Sport FM."

From the website Footy Goss:
"Is it too much to expect that the football journalists should be required to do some research before they put the proverbial pen to paper? Is there a lazier or more ill-informed journalist in WA than Kim Hagdorn...."

That was 2008. Perhaps nothing's really changed.

IF Lyon goes - "Footy First" should go with him.
Just disgraceful that a coach who MOST with half a brain acknowledge as one of the top 3 in the comp could be let walk by this limp wristed administration.
I feel a typical St Kilda implosion coming at a time when we needed to sign up Lyon and stay strong.
Fkn gutted if this is true - and EXTREMELY dissapointed in Ross Lyon if so.

This is a fargon disgrace - outbid by a deplorable rabble in melbourne.
What kind of a joke are we running?
Maybe they weren't outbid at all. Maybe they are happy for him to move on.

That maybe the case, maybe not. If he does leave, time would tell.dcstkfc wrote:If they don't want him that bad, then they are farking cluelessJohnny Member wrote:Maybe the club doesn't actually want him that bad?Teflon wrote:If so, sack the Board.

But it might not be a case of being outbid. They might just think that his style of play is costing of $$ off-field, or that he's failed this season by finishing 7th, or that his style of play is not going to take us anywhere i the future, or that he's failed with developing the list long term.
If they did, there's plenty who would agree with them.

Calm down people. Plenty of time to bag the club if and when this turns out to be true.dcstkfc wrote:If they don't want him that bad, then they are farking cluelessJohnny Member wrote:Maybe the club doesn't actually want him that bad?Teflon wrote:If so, sack the Board.

In the meantime, take time to ponder how this wicketless wonder based in Perth has managed to out scoop the entire Melbourne journalistic cesspool
Nothing's changed IMO.

Thats easy to answer. They are first at making up the story, so if it happens to be true they will claim they had the "exclusive". They have no scoop, just write a piece and hope it comes true.Dr Spaceman wrote:Calm down people.
