The Team v Collingwood? !!
A couple of interesting selection dilemas for Ross this week;
It sounds like Polo will be OK
It sounds like Gamble will be 50-50. Do we take a gamble with Gamble?
What do we do with Geary after 3 games as the sub? Should he be in the starting 21?
The guys who played today for Sandi will be on a 5 day break if they make the seniors.
My prediction: NO CHANGE if Gamble comes up. Otherwise, Bakes in, possibly as the sub !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Subject to injury Geary may have this spot for the rest of the year.Eastern wrote:

For the Saints the perfect sub is someone that can come on with (reasonable)pace and run, who can win lots of ball and exploitthe fact that many of the opposition are fatigued.
Geary has been doing it.
Other candidates such as Cripps and Ledger are injured.....so outside of the 22 there are no better candidates.
Smith has lost form.
Peake has elevated his game and is now must for starting 22. Ditto for Ledger.
Going for a non-runner like say Johnson would most likely have less impact...or at least less reliably so.
Lynch is too slow for sucha role.
Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....

Jack Newnes happy to be a Saint !!!! PS and to hit a target !!!
baker and dawson will come.
RL will want a defence tighter than Koutafides at contract negotiation time and more disciplined than Scott Cummings at 'the all you can eat burger barn'
Our backline will soak up the Pies for 3 quarters before their legs run out and we run over them.
Discipline discipline discipline.

Boys need to dish out some bumps
Filth have had it way too easy lately the opposition seemed to be scared if them.
Make them earn every kick. Have those weak pricks thugwell and o'brien looking around at every high ball
And will someone make tarrant sweat? This guy has done nothing in his career, now he strolls back in to maybe get a flag. He just comes out each game, no f****** pressure on him and does it easy?
RUN THROUGH THEM!!! Give away a free, who cares, but make these maggots know they have been in a game! It's ridiculous that their new players can come in and get easy kicks and goals

Think u forgot they won by 138 points.....if they were that concerned about it sapping them of energy and not being able to fire next week then I suspect they would have put the cue in the rack at 1/4 time.mohannair wrote:We should also consider the wet weather footy the Pies played this will give us an advantage & should be able to run them out after 3/4 time.
Similar to what we did to the Dockers, who also had a wet weather footy against the Hawks week before.
So we should get some runners who can drain them out.
Oh when the saints go charging in!
You forget that the thought process you speak of requires some intelligence, something that the Flith lack...saint tash wrote:Think u forgot they won by 138 points.....if they were that concerned about it sapping them of energy and not being able to fire next week then I suspect they would have put the cue in the rack at 1/4 time.mohannair wrote:We should also consider the wet weather footy the Pies played this will give us an advantage & should be able to run them out after 3/4 time.

And then there's Tommy's younger brother Barry John Walsh.saint tash wrote:Cathal Corr
He's playing at my local club, Macleod, in the Diamond Valley.
Has been attracting interest from some VFL clubs.
Of course he's still in Ireland and yet to play a game of Aussie Rules, so sub is probably all we could justify at this stage.

Might seem like a long shot but if Gardiner is going to play a part then surely this might be the match? Could be good up front as a target and rotating with McEvoy and frees up Kosi who seems to be having a second life
I can't believe Eddie McGuire and I have the Celtic Football Club in common...he should be a Hun
