Bring on the Filth
I know I have no right to..... but I have a strange level of confidence about next week.
It certainly won't make up for last year.... but history is just that..... I just want to beat those pricks next week and rub the filth crowd face in it.
Go Saints... and go Stevie you good thing!!!

Wasn't looking forward to this match a few weeks ago but now it has a bit of something about it. Great Friday night game. Here's hoping we can go with them...winning might be hopeful, a competitive/ narrow loss might be hopeful but who knows...we might lift for the occasion and show we are still in with a rough chance and a better chance than most to do well in September. Go Saints!

You might've heard a bit of shite has gone down since then.bigcarl wrote:Hang on. Didn't we draw with them on their own dungheap ... less than 12 months ago?clarky449 wrote:Sorry but Pies are just too good, we are not in the class, not even close.

Show some blind faith like i do . Yes , the pies are a great side , the best in the competiton !clarky449 wrote:Lose by 5 goals or more. Sorry but Pies are just too good, we are not in the class, not even close.
However , every week when i go to the games , i reckon if we can play our best footy , then we will win !!!!
Next week we be no different .

I know. However we've won six straight and play them at a ground where we are difficult to beat.dcstkfc wrote:You might've heard a bit of shite has gone down since then.bigcarl wrote:Hang on. No doubt they will start warm favourites, but it is not beyond the realms of possibility ...

Totally agreed.mr six o'clock wrote: Show some blind faith like i do . Yes , the pies are a great side , the best in the competiton !.
- They're faster
- They're more skillful
- Pendlebury, Swan and Thomas are the best midfield trio in the league
- Cloke is probably the best forward this year
- They're younger, faster, fitter, juiced up energizer bunnies
Yet we can still beat them. WE can absolutely beat this f****** mob.
What is dead may never die, but rises again harder and stronger.
I also have a strange feeling about next week.
I wondered at times last night whether some of our boys may have drifted
into the future pondering the BIG game next week.
If we win but have no chance of a premiership than damm at least the filth
are put on notice...........all good things come to an end!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im a realist, We would need pies to have a very off day.mr six o'clock wrote:Show some blind faith like i do . Yes , the pies are a great side , the best in the competiton !clarky449 wrote:Lose by 5 goals or more. Sorry but Pies are just too good, we are not in the class, not even close.

Pies are very, very good.
I'm sure the boys will give it their best shot, and you can guarantee a lot of thought will be put into matchups.
Interesting observing their relunctance to play kids earlier this season, they seemed to change their thinking a couple of weeks ago, but the shift appeared quite late for a side that you'd think would be settling on a side soon.
Lots of changes happening, rotating and resting, making sure their best 22 is right come finals.
Found a few in that time as well, which makes the decision perhaps tougher in who gets the nod.
Still, nice to have an abundance of stars at your disposal.

Playing at Etihad can put a different spin on things - not because its our home ground but the Filth will have to change their gameplan a little.
The same works for playing Carlscum or the Bummers at the G ini finals, if it happens. Very different then playing us at Etihad.
I think th elast time we played the scum at the G was in 05/06? And Roo kicked 9? Correct me if wrong. And we played the bummers there last in about 07 or 08, on a wet Saturday and won.

Lucky I didnt say this clarky as I would have been labelled a troll.clarky449 wrote:As much as i hate Collingwood (not as much at Carlton), always look forward to playing them, always a big crowd, great atmosphere. I hope i am talking absolute shi* and you can all give it to me if we win.
In saying that, yeah, agreed.
Oh when the saints go charging in!

When is it not pro-Collingwood? Will be interesting to see where we're at...we were horribly out of form last time, yet held our own against a full strength Pies team (whilst playing a few kids), but got blown out of the water part the way through the 3rd. Could be interesting, or much the same result.
