Should Joey have played? !!
Knee heavily strapped right from the get go
Failed to have any meaningful impact
Sub'd off in the 3rd Quarter
In hindsight, he should have been rested until after the bye !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

I posted yesterday that he wouldn't play.
He could barely walk during the week.
So clearly they have jabbed him with painkillers and sent him out.
But not a good decision.
No good for the team.
And not good for his long term health.

Gotta add my voice to this... Tommy Ledger would have given us more. The experience would have been better for him, and the team. Huge selection mistake.
9 possessions and Joey was disappointed to be subbed off? The selection process has lost me. I'm not convinced players are under enough pressure to keep their spots.

Apologies, posted this elsewhere :
Joey should never have played. With other Posters, I was saying this all last week. Why our selectors couldn't see it, I do not know.
A bad mistake by the medicos. Someone internally should be held accountable for this poor decision.
6 possessions in the first quarter and only another 3 until he went off in the third quarter.
A fully fit Tom Leger would have been a much better choice, especially with his replacement, Raph Clarke contributing only 1 kick and 3 handballs.
It may not have cost us the game, but it was a poor decision by the Medicos.

Can't believe Joey played. After seeing him limping so badly last week at the back of the SC then limping up the race after his on ground interview with Tim Watson, I thought there was no way he would play this week. I was fully expecting him to be a late withdrawal and Ledger to take his place.
Seems crazy to have played him when he was obviously still so sore, and we have the bye next week and were unlikely to win last night anyway. Should have given him last night off and then the bye to give him half a chance of being fit after the bye where we have a few winnable games. Stupid decision by all concerned.

I agree, to see him walking last week with him walking with a distinctive limp as he culdn't bend his knee made it clear he should have had a fortnight's rest to recover.Enrico_Misso wrote:I posted yesterday that he wouldn't play.

Makes you wonder how bad Blakey's knee was if he couldn't evern get on the ground.

I agree tommy ledger is a live wire and has done well when he is on the field.InkerSaint wrote:Gotta add my voice to this... Tommy Ledger would have given us more. The experience would have been better for him, and the team. Huge selection mistake.
