What about goddard to CHB
Just a thought. Will give him a challenge and some purpose. Can direct his team mates around and has the skill to make good play.
Fisher maybe to full back or loose back flanker running off and gloating in to help Goddard.

I'm not wanting particularly to bag your idea, but I'm mystified at the carry on about Goddard on here. He's playing ok as far as I can see. Oppositions are working hard to keep him in check, and - as many of our other guns (eg Riewoldt and Gilbert) are failing to apply much pressure - are finding it pretty easy to do.
But BJ remains reasonably productive. I think some of you are expecting him to win every game for us single-handed. Given that (notwithstanding your bro's excellent efforts) we are generally being crunched in the clearances and struggling to win our share of contested ball and - as I said earlier - our other guns aren't firing, even (former-US citizen) Superman would struggle to shine playing BJ's role.
On another subject, DW, you must be proud of your bro's super effort last night.

I,m by no way saying this is the answer but I sure would like to see him have a crack there. I reckon it would give him confidence and improve the teams structure and direction from the half back linemeher baba wrote:I'm not wanting particularly to bag your idea, but I'm mystified at the carry on about Goddard on here. Not an answer to all things, just a thought I reckon would be beneficial but highly unlikely.

I feel we are short a ruckman, and need some fleet footed rebounders. The Shaw brothers would be the ideal model for what we need, speedy first touch players that can out sprint the opposition. Goddard would be my on a wing in the forward line if I had my way. We need someone that can cause havoc when Roo goes quiet. Farren Ray and Smith as deep wing players, and the next link a Cripps or Ledger and even a Peake if he gets it together.
I would look at building a forward line with roo CHF and Johnson or Siposs deep as defending full forward and someone like Geary as a deep wing and Milne opposite. Mc evoy as a floating forward or back. I liked the way Armo and Clint Jones played as the grunt mids last night too.
